Excellent. Just watched this.

Brought back a lot of memories of the 1969 original. Bridges does a fine job. He played the role not of Cogburn but of Wayne. It recalled to my mind reading something years back a respected critic wrote about Wayne and and critics of his acting, he wrote something like: Many critics do not get it Marion Morrison woke up everyday and played the part of John Wayne, he was a superior actor.

Yes, it was a fun movie. Easy to shoot holes in the storyline I suppose. But a very enjoyable evening at the movies.

i watched it like 45 minutes after arkansas f*cked me over in cfb...it took place in arkansas and they kept saying arkansas over and over. despite that....it was really good.

The music is also both fitting and enjoyable.


I have always enjoyed Coen Brothers' films. "Miller's Crossing" will forever remain my favorite but have enjoyed them.
