Internet from iPhone to laptop

So I had my rent and child support payments on Oregon +2.5 the other night and now I'm in a tough spot and need to cut back.

Obviously I can't go without the daily advice from the geniuses in here so I need to figure out the cheapest way to get innanet.

Does anyone know how to tether an iPhone to a laptop to get innanet?

And before you gangsta's tell me to shut off/sell my iphone, my baby mama of my third daughter works for at&t so i don't really "pay" per se.

AT&T charges like 25 dollars to tether internet off your phone and then you still have to pay for data overage... Nothing cheap about it... Why not just leech wifi where it is free if you want to save money?

Head over to an iphone forum and there should be instructions on how to do this.

I am not positive if you can enable tether through jailbreaking your phone but I would imagine it is likely. I own an android device which needs nothing more than a mini USB to USB cable to tether unless I cared for WIFI tethering in which case I would either have to pay $30 a month for or root my phone and get it for free.

Jailbreak your Iphone first. Go to www.modmyi.com (Iphone forum) and read how to do it. It is different for each phone and firmware.

You can then buy MyWi for $20 for the year, or get the cracked version from www.sinfuliphone.com (another Iphone forum). I recommend buying the app, it is a must have on the Iphone.

MyWi lets you tether from a USB cord or wirelessly. I played a SBR Poker Tourney on it and had no disconnects.

Up until the Iphone 4 it was not worth having one unless it was jailbroken.

IntheDrink, Jailbreak your phone as House said. Go into cydia and search for an app call INSTALLOUS. It is an app where yo can download any app for free regardless of price. You can get mywi app for free from there
