#4Mo's just rippin' on the Big Ten again. He's as shocked as I am that they're 5-2 thus far. However, I still say Wis can play with anyone.
Oh and yes, UCLA has by far the easiest route to the FF now.Comment -

Actually, I think Mo is just trying to deflect attention away from his Vols who weren't all that dominating in their first two games of The Dance and now have to face a Louisville squad that appears to have rebounded nicely from their two losses at the end of their Big East season entering the tournament.Comment -

#6conspiracy theorists running a muck. vill stinks (big-east) and the winner of Wisc/Davidson just isn't all that good. maybe people could just read whats there instead of trying to figure out these secret codes all the time.

#7Man, I'm sure glad to hear that the Jayhawks have joined the Big Ten now since that will give my Aggies one less Dirty Dozen Conference power to worry about.

Yes, the problem is you come off as a paranoid big-10 fan. i made a very simple comment without trying to take a 'shot' at anyone. The Hoyas are a better team than the badgers, i wouldn't assume Kansas and Wisc are destine to meet. Quite a reach to take that statement as a jab at the big-ten, but it is what it is.

Bruins play W KY and then the winner of Xav/W. Vir. No #1 Seed has an easier path.Comment -

no mind reading needed, thats the point, big guy. to make it a 'big-ten' issue is absolutely ridiculous. argue that the bruins have an easier road, sure, but to make it out to be some conference attack is a little silly. My comment was simply that Kansas has an easy road, no need to be so confrontational about something so simple.

it was 1am and i was heading to bed. I was thinking about my brackets and how i needed Kansas to lose. Then i thought, damn, they have it pretty easy. Following this thought, i posted. No analysis further than that.
i certainly respect what Wisc brings to the table year in and year out.

#21Don't be surprised if Nova takes Kansas down to the wire,
Kansas seems to falter in this spots, history is against 'em.
Jay Wright can coach and Scottie Reynolds could easily be a giant killer on his A game.Comment -

#22I do agree with your assessment on Siena. They played poorly, but my take is that if KU slumps any on defense - 'Nova has the shooters to keep them in the game.Comment -

Also, the matchups favor Wisconsin against Davidson. Flowers is one of the best defenders in the country and will be guarding Curry. That means that unlike against other teams, the other Davidson players won't benefit from an abnormal amount of open looks.Comment -

#25Agree Flowers is an outstanding on the ball defender but Gtown was top 5 defenisve team in the country.
The difference was clearly 20 turnovers to only 4.Comment -

#26This is wrong. Kenpom and Sagarin both have Wisconsin as a top 5 team.

if the game is called anything like the hoyas/davidson game, wisc is in serious trouble. Gtown shot over 63% and held Davidson under 39, but the officiating was hard to take seriously. I believe gtown was called for 9 offensive fouls and they aren't an offense thats often times finds itself out of control. the defense was not an issue for Gtown, the game was decided, completely, at the line. Davidson couldn't get anything off or stop the hoyas from getting the looks they wanted. imo, if the hoyas had advanced, they would be a fav over wisc. i take it that you disagree with that?Comment -

#30LVSC has Georgetown rated a full 2 pts higher in the power ratings than Wisconsin. Georgetown would probably open -1/-1.5 IMO. I'd trust LVSC before I trusted Don Juan's analysis on this subject matter.....
Since you don't trust my model, try checking who Kenpom and Sagarin have as a better team.Comment -

#32Here we go again.
Now LVSC does not know what they are talking about. I better check with Don Juan and his model, it's considerably more accurate than LVSC's power ratings. Even when you present this guy information he discounts it. I give up
Come on dude, grow up. Mofome is making an important point in this thread. I think you are just arguing for the sake of arguing and nothing more. Listen, we all get it. Georgetown/Wisconsin would be a very close matchup pointspread wise. One person might open GT small favorites and someone else might open UW a small favorite.
Relax man......geez.Comment -

#34i would say ucla has the easiest trip to the final four out of each region but the way they are playing i would have to take kansas instead. ucla got bailed out last weekend against a&m (a team that ucla should be able to walk over) and also got bailed out against stanford a couple weeks ago too. ucla was playing their best ball a month ago and are starting to fall flat (and dont bring up the 41 point win against miss valley st because we are talking about...miss valley st)...kansas is the best overall team in the tourney right now IMO (arguably louisville and UNC too) and i think their size and speed will give nova problems all day long. i also do not see wisconsin slowing kansas down to their style of play 1. because i think kansas will come out up a decent amount early and 2. there are many mismatches on the court in this game favoring kansas...Comment -

#35BB thanks for the praise, just read through this.
don is a cool muther, i like the guy even though we don't always agree. i'd rather have an argument with someone with an IQ over 18 (don) than someone who's retort is "im putting you on ignore since i just got verbally raped" (gyno). speaking of which, its odd that someone would open a thread by me if they have me on ignore; brains aren't for everyone.
anyway, i disagree with rtj, don, and HH all the time, but i enjoy what they have to say in each instance. Always something you can pull.
Then there is a QD siting.
