I'm with you on this in most cases...but when I saw mind blowing Dirk's impact on game (stats), probably Mavs just is not constructed to step up - there is nobody who can really create a shot for himslef, what makes me think that Mavs will be jumps shooting team (see Terry, Kids's 3points, Stevenson).

you can scroll up to my previous post, where clearly is stated that it is this season when dirk is on court and when off the court what is total 414 minutes or I guess close to 8 full games. In this time Dallas is 21 point worse offensively and 6 points worse defensively. There some other sources with adjusted +/- what also rates Dirk as best in league at this category

Besides you made a good point - Dirk misses 2 games per year and I am afraid Dallas just flat out does not know what to do when he's is out, because he always is in (where opposite i.e. Boston is used to having KG in and out)

Dallas is very deep and the last few games i watched them play they did just fine with Dirk out or not playing very well, that included the Mia, Orl road wins and OKC road win. But i'm staying away from this game, so gl.

Dallas could score only 76 at home against Toronto which was their first full game without Dirk. It's not only that Dirk is out, but it forces Marion to start who is not a starting caliber player anymore, but more of a good 6th/7th man against 2nd units. It also forces Dallas to play the likes of Brian Cardinal. Butler is also going to be playing with an injured hand.

Not a good game to play period is my opinion. No way to tell how Mavs respond without Dirk and what kind of game SA chooses to play, they showed they can still play D if they want to last game vs LAL.

Game could go either way but he's not their only good player.
