Don't play on the forum and play poker at the same time
Had great days in sports the last two days but gave a little back playing poker. I guess I shouldn't be playing on the forums and poker at the same time.

I'll tackle this one and bump thread at same time.

I am much better playing in person, I'm the type of mental case that can just look at someone and pick up on unspoken things, sometimes way beneath the surface. I've seen people walking down the street and just been able to read them, interpreting their demeanor a little, their expressions, eyes, I am very connected to random senses.. This ability diminished with excessive drug use, but it's still there enough to spot a bluffer at poker.

        Crazyl,

Or the competition similar limits online is far tougher than live. Not that either are particularly tough at low limits. As for tells, they are completely overrated.

          I don't dispute your comment.

As far as tells, they are completely overrated for the most part. However, I don't think someones innate ability is overrated, look at some of the guys in Vegas who are known for their reads. They can put you on a hand with striking accuracy, it's a combination of things but you can't discount the physical aspect of it and point solely to "well he's betting [x] so he must have [x]", feel does play a part in some players game. Kenny Tran (may be confusing with other player) is known for those type of reads, Phil Ivey etc.

Actually been making more from poker than sports betting lately. Rugby betting hasn't been too kind the past few weeks, although basketball has been good.

                Crazy,

I understand what you are saying and some people may have this innate sense but there are a lot of important concepts that can still make you a loser even if you have that innate sense and little else.
