Is BETONLINE regulated and/or licensed the exact sameway as LEGENDS?
BetOnline is out of Panama City, Panama............
Panama is a much safer haven than that of Costa Rica, by in large.

I don't know the details of Legend's licence but BetOnline ARE explicity licenced and regulated by the Republic of Panama for our business activities.
Costa Rica has no licencing or regulatory body that directly oversees wagering operations, rather they are, to my knowledge, governed simply by existing CR corporation rules and regulations... so far easier to set up there than here in Panama.

So basically in CR anyone with a couple hundred thousand dollars can open up shop in CR in a hut and call themselves online wagering sportsbook. No regulation at all.

Or a thousand dollars. But there are EXCELLENT books working out of CR without a doubt. A book's reputation is 100x more important than their jurisidctions--you want to count on a government--any government--to protect you? I don't think so.
PAY your players, be fair to your players, take care of your players, get the model right, don't be greedy--you can have a good book anywhere. Literally. As on Wall Street, bears and bulls survive, pigs get slaughtered.

True. But that's not good enough. We need even Opera and Safari users to have a GREAT experience.
Looking at your top 5, I don't know who we could ever displace (oh sorry different thread). I'm cracking the champagne when we hit 6.

Are you nuts
They are both third world rat holes
With absolutely NO REGULATION
You could wake up tomorrow and find out El Presidente in either country did not get his/her kickback and drove a tank through The bet Cris Office Building or the strip mall in Panama City
The only truly safe off shore spots are Curacao,UK and Australia

That is correct, but they do charge an annual fee, I think the amount is up to $50,000 (but don't quote me on that), depending upon how many workstations you have, for sportsbooks/online casinos/poker sites to provide technical and customer support to their clients. There is no regulatory body though, and you can not get licensed by CR, at least not yet. Our current president is trying to squeeze out some money from the books, but it's a plan that will fail. In my opinion, in order to tax them, a few things have to happen. 1) You have to officially recognize it, and 2) you have to allow the online gaming companies to officially bank here, in order to tax their income. Otherwise, there is no way to know how much money they are making.

People like you make the the world hate the USA, or whatever the hell is that you live on.
Then you are wondering why the crazy muslims attack you.
Panama is a democratic country, we have crime like any other country.
We dont have shootings at colleges or schools like in the USA, maybe you miss that when you come down here.
Our economy is in good shape, if you want to work, there is work for you.
So please stop saying stupid stuff, and if you want to say something.
Come down here and see the country for yourself.
Then make an opinion.
BTW we have dont have tanks.
We have no army.

Curious. what makes Panama "more secure" than CR ? Licensing was in the past a joke..remember reading Steve Budin's book on the early days booking in Panama. Has it changed that much ?
Granted CR has absolutely no licensing, but solid shops are reputation bound. People will always gamble and the majority of those people will lose. This alone guarantees good shops will always pay..they know long term they will be profitable.
Jamaica doesnt have licensing either to my knowledge and actually does not allow gambling of any kind to my knowledge on the island, but I would trust BetJm.
I a curious about BetOnline though..will be depositing a dime there as soon as they give me a bonus of my liking.

minet, you must have made a typo here. Curacao is an absolute shithole when it comes to regulating online gambling. you can buy licences by the dozens from so-called master-licencees. nobody checks anything, if you have the cash, anything goes, including scamming everyone. there have been many examples. just because pinny is licensed there, doesn't make it ok.
by far the best licensing country is without a doubt australia. there's really no country that even comes remotely close. cr, panama, malta, curacao, antigua, these so-called licences are all not worth the piece of paper they are written on, all you have to go by is sportsbooks' reputations.

Mello I been there and I will be back in January
The skyline would make Manhattan jealous when the sun comes up in the morning
The French Quarter will be spectacular when it's done
Two huge mega malls clean and safe
The old town neighborhood with a view of the canal very nice
and yes every city has crime but the shanty towns on the hill that ring the city
bring unsafe to a new level
and every city has homeless but
I have seen whole family's living in doorways
and
WTF doesn't anyone know what a trash can is for in that whole city
Third world rat hole was a little harsh but you can not count on regulations anywhere that involve large sums of money
If the Government wanted to close Legends and BOL down and seize all the $
Truly how big of an uproar would their be

Ok, thats fair.
We are working on the garbage problem, it is one of the main concerns by this Goverment.
Also it will be really hard for the goverment to close any buissnes out of the air on Panama.
Lots of jobs will be lost, and we have lots of unions that will fight till the end for their people.
I mean real fight, closing street, throwing rocks to buildings and stuff like that.

Yep.
BetPanAm was proof of that. I still have my balance in there, five years later. Safe as can be.
