History of bagels
In 1919, Isadore Shlafman arrived in Canada and opened the first bagel bakery in Montreal. It was located at the back of a lane, just off of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard, which was then known as "The Main". This is where Montrealers got their first taste of bagel, rolled by hand and baked in a wood-fired oven. This was the very first bagel bakery in Montreal.

In 1949, Grandfather Isadore move from Saint-Lawrence Boulevard over to Fairmount street. He bought a charming little cottage, and proceeded to knock down the back wall of the house, and built his bagel oven right there. He and his family lived upstairs, and when Grandfather Isadore went to work, he went downstairs and baked the bagel right there in his house. His son, Jack, learned the art of baking bagels and joined the business. They continued the tradition of rolling their bagel by hand, and baking them in their wood fired

1- How do i know you're not going to have 4 thugs hiding behind the alley and then jump me and beat the crap out of me? I've had like 4 conversations with you in my life at SBR and on each one, we were going back and forth arguing. I am not taking a chance to meet some guy i dont even know named Ronald...and then get beat up by 4 goons and then steal my wallet. The last person that wanted to meet me in MTL was Russ, the owner of MW.. he told me he was with Guy Lafleur, my idol....i later heard he had 6 goons waiting to beat the crap out of me. JJ talked me out of going and saved my life. Nicky Santoro is the most hated guy in forum history, and i am not chancing it by meeting some guy named Ronald who i don't even know.

2- I never meet any posters.

3- Hell, I didn't even meet JJGOLD here 2 months ago.. and you expect me to meet you?..

4 The last time i was up at 9 am, it was 1982.. That's the time i usually go to bed at.

It is another trap, I know over 20 guys that want to kill Nicky and over 15 books that want him bad.

I actually think he believes I have an angle if he and I meet. He 2 months ago accused me of being a bounty for the books and that is why I wanted to meet him. He thought I was going to profit by meeting him and then telling books all the info. I swear Nicky is nuts and has snapped. I called him the other day and he asked me if call was being taped and do I have a wire on?????????
