Guy is a failed fukkin coach. One of the best teams on paper. Romo and Phillips gone would make them much better.

Many would turn down the position because ownership are jerkoffs.

Romo sucks and is overrated big time. Guy cracks in pressure situations. That or he goes to Mexico while other teams are busting their asses.

Wade is the best Defensive coach in the league. Amazing what he has done with the Texans.

Wade has always been a great DC, but never had serious success as a HC. Some people just aren't HC material.

The stat that surprised me is that he is 82-59 in the regular season as a head coach. I didn't think it was that good. Of course, we all know that he is only 1-5 in the playoffs, and when you're a head coach, that's the main win/loss record that matters. With all the changes that are starting to take place in head coaching positions, I'll bet the ranch that he will be a one and done DC in Houston, and gets one more shot at being a head coach.

The good news for the Texans is he did so bad in Dallas that it will probably be another year before he gets an offer. That said I think KC might give him a long look.

Hmm, my stats say 82-61, but point taken. Yes it's more about the 1-5 in the playoffs, I think.

Just for fun, how does Wade Phillips compare to some other guys with a track record in a roughly similar range?

                                Jeff Fischer 142-120 (5-6 playoffs)
                                Mike Martz 53-32 (3-4 playoffs)

Fisher maybe deserves another shot, but I doubt Martz ever gets another one.

One other one I'll throw in there:

Yeah, poor Marty. He's done in the NFL at 68 years old. Back to back heartbreaking AFC championship losses to Elway in '86 & '87. Browns fire Marty after '88 and Elway does it again to the Browns in the '89 AFC championship game coached by Bud Carson. Marty probably was never given the credit he deserved in Cleveland.

In 21 years as head coach, Marty only had 2 losing seasons. It's the 13 playoff losses that really killed him.
