Watch out for the Braves this year
It looks like Mike Hampton is not hurt yet. If he mades it thru spring training the Braves will be a legitimate contender. The pitching line up is scary. Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine, Hampton plus the best bullpen in the league will bring plenty of wins. The hitting line up anchored by Texeira, McCann, Francoeur, Jones is unbelievable.

    Let's go Braves!

I think they are bringing back the MLB game of the week every Saturday or Sunday afternoon all year long but I grew up with Braves baseball on TBS end of a era for me.

AL Central is the most dominate division in baseball followed by the NL West.

Im gonna miss the Braves on TBS. Luckily living in the area I still see all the games on FSN but I grew up with the Braves on TBS. They've been cutting back and back each year and now finally gone. Definetly gonna miss the Friday night game with the Extras. I do think the Braves will be good this year. Not so sure that Hampton doesnt get hurt before the season though. That guy always seems to do something. Texiera was a huge pickup. Dont think we will miss Andruw offensively much but it definetly helped having his glove in centerfield. I dont know a lot about Kotsay other than I know they gave him a lot of money. Hopefully hes worth it. The NL east is gonna be a tough division. Mets picking up Santana is huge. Phillies will still be good. Nationals will suck and who knows what the Marlins will do.

You have to go to the ballpark more often this year. I'm planning to be there as much as I can this year.

I agree with everyting you said right up to the point where you said best bullpen in baseball.Did they get somebody new that I didn't hear about. The only consistant pitcher out of there last year was Peter Moulan. He needs to be the closer.Anybody that says a side armer can't close has never heard of Kent Tekulve or Dan Chrisenberry, and both of them won the Fireman of the year.

The Bullpen last year won more games than the starters. If they only had a closer it could have been perfect. Our starters this year can go 7 innings and then the bullpen will kill the game. Watch out!

Rafael Soriano is a good closer. I was glad to see him take over the closer role after they released Wickman. I was glad to see Wickman go.

I know they got rid of fatass last year, but how many games did Soriano blow.If you think about it,it's not really a good thing when your bullpen has that many wins. That means more than likely the bullpen blew the lead to begin with. How many times did Smoltz, and Hudson get no decisions because the bullpen blew it.Look my brother I'm on your side.I am a huge Brave's fan,I don't live but about a hour and a half away from Atlanta. So I usually go to about 12-15 games during the year.I just really wished they would use Moulan as the closer.I think it would make a huge difference.

It was very easy last year to beat the Braves in a 4 game series. They only had two starters in Smoltz and Hudson both righties. Now with Glavine and Hampton (if healthy) they have two good lefties to throw in the mixture. Pitching rotations is what wins series and Bobby Cox will be able to match up his two lefties and righties at will against any opponent. The bullpen last year was overworked and I don’t see it happening this year where the offense alone will be able to carry this team.

That's what I like to hear Pavy! I don't know how I missed that the Braves aren't gonna be on TBS this year? That really pisses me off! WTF happened? OH well, I will still be following closely... I really hope that Hampton can come back and be an effective starter for us, but I'm not holding my breath... Smoltz will be solid, Huddy should have a better year, and Glavine should do just fine even though he doesn't have as good of stuff as he used too... Think a lot of people will be surprised by the Braves this year... I think the Braves will give the Mets and Phils all they can handle in the NL East!
