Roy Halladay - The Best Pitcher in Baseball Today
For most people there's nothing new or surprising in this article about Doc, but it's a great read nonetheless.

"Halladay Prepared for First Postseason Voyage" http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playof...rry&id=5644528

Guy will be the stuff of Legends one day.

Great Pitcher now has a chance to show what he can do in the playoffs. Legends are made on the biggest stage - World Series. That why he accepted a under market (If you can call 20 mill under market) contract to play for a contender.

He will lose first game, Doc has not been pitching well down the stretch and the pressure of the post season will get to him

There are no locks and nobody is unbeatable. Should be interesting to watch how he performs. The Reds did beat him this year.

With his work ethic and conditioning I don't see why he wouldn't be able to.

Yanks always beat him in big games. If the Phils make it that far.

                                  Halladay career vs Yanks: 36 starts, 18-7, 2.98 ERA, 253 innings, 198 K's

That's compared to his career ERA of 3.32, keeping in mind the Yanks have consistently had one of the best if not the best offense in the game over Halladay's career.

I think it isvery safe to say he is the best pitcher on this day. Sabathia or Liriano will have to throw perfect games to top him

Now imagine all those wasted years in Toronto. Can't believe this was his FIRST playoff game of his career. Guess he had a lot of prep time for this one..

Yeah, he's great. Best in the league. Unfortunately, the Phillies can't use him through nine innings for every single game of the postseason.

The Giants have a better staff overall- look at the numbers.
