SBR jumped the gun again according to TOW
    TOW
11.25 am EST Betonstars (r. 5) remains under cross fire as new bias reports hit the wires. The book's owner reports being current with all players and dealing with an unusual situation. One player panicked over the first wake of adverse reports on the sports book. As a result he asked for his balance even if he had not completed his rollover requirements. Eventually the book agreed to make an exception and pay the player without forfeiting the bonus. The player received a first payout of 4K on 1/27, a second payout of 1K on 1/28 and is bound to receive his balance of 3,8K today. Betonstars was shocked to read new incorrect allegations posted on the wire of a well know Web site on 1/28. The timing of the wire induces observers to speculate on its real meaning, undue pressure to force the book into pay the player regardless of the non completion of rollover requirements and without bonus forfeiture. Last December the same Web site tried to extort Betonstars in paying a $500 bonus to another player who had not met his rollover requirements. Surprisingly enough the first player had not even asked for assistance as the case had already been mediated and solved by TheOffshoreWire a week before the extortion attempt. TheOffshoreWire will continue to closely monitor Betonstars' payout performance.
John- Don't go banning me again under the BetonStars 5 rule. You know my stance and I'm just reporting the news.

    TOW: "Yes Spidermonkey.

We are determined to get to the bottom of this. Given that Betonstars was advertising here, and given our track record of assisting players, one would imagine that we would be in receipt of these alleged complaints mentioned elsewhere. To date the only correspondence we received was from one player asking how safe his balance was at BoS....

We really want to understand what is REALLY going on and we will."

More power to TOW if he can help get players paid at sportsbooks after selling real estate to fly-by-nights but I've stopped looking to see his take on sponsor problems. They are spinning their way to being irrelevant.

The problem at BOS is very simple. Their neteller is constantly dry. No One denies it. Betonstars keeps saying that there is a wire on its way. And maybe there are wires, but they are clearly small amounts being sent, because thier neteller quickly goes dry again. For whatever reason, it is a problem Johnny refuses to deal with. He claims to have money, but refuses to fund his neteller account. Having money in some offshore bank account doens't help the players. The owners of Aces gold also have money. But there is a big difference between having money in a abank account, and having money in a neteller account. And there is a big difference between having money in neteller and actually paying players on time.

If BOS really has money, and just follishly doesn't wnat to fund thier neteller account, they are making a HUGE mistake. I knwo there are a ton of players who would love to play there. They are offering the best bonuses right now. But most people are to afraid and rightfully so, to play at a book that neevr has moeny in neteller. And offering a bonus that allows you to withdraw winnings at anytime, is pretty meaningless if everytime you ask for a payout you are told it will be a few days.

          Marc,

This is beyond a Neteller issue. They can't pay through alternate methods either. One player received $1000, a portion of the requested sum, and says he was charged $150 in fees. To charge fees on a method the player did not choose is theft in itself.

I have looked at TOW and that is the best possible word I could come up with for it - irrelevant.

Between the constant, transparent shilling/spinning of sponsor info - and the extreme self-consciousness in the form of constantly identifying itself only in terms of how it compares to other things (most often SBR), it's pretty sad.

Some of the TOW posters appeared to be a bit brainwashed - but that's their problem. I suppose it's not much different than posters at theRX who voted Skybook the #3 sportsbook in the world last year.

Bottom line: I regard any report from TOW in a similar light to how I regard The National Enquirer. If I read it at all, my first thought will always be, okay and now what is the real story?

There is no jumping the gun. When we have news we report it. Russ was the same way when we reported the slow pays of his main sponsor Royal when they were in slow pay mode a while back. These guys are paid to protect their clients plain and simple.

With these new books its important to get the news out as fast as you can so folks don't get unnecessarily swindled. They have such a high failure rate. Of course if you are tow and a book is in trouble the last thing you want is an SBR report telling the world. So it goes and so it will continue.
