#37I dont care what a person puts in their body, but if my taxes are paying for food stamps, welfare, etc. I think everyone who gets them should have a monthly drug test! Not some p test that can be beaten, but a lab blood test and if they fail it, F em, automatic sterilization. Then maybe the cycle will be broken, and future generations wont have to foot the bill.

#38what about disabled people who smoke marijuana to help their condition??
now I agree if someone is a crackhead or cokehead or some other drugs like that...then ya
but just cause the government considers marijuana to be a "drug" that shouldnt be held against people receiving aid or welfare
ever wonder why alcohol isnt considered a "drug" in the governments eyes?....because you can go buy as much as you want right now at ANY store as long as you pay the tax on it
you can buy enough alcohol to kill urself and others ANYWHERE IN THE USA....but still hold a 40hr a week job and not be considered as someone who takes "drugs"

#40they are barely making it month to month.....the problem in america is everyone is always so worried about the next man...it makes them feel better about their life....and the fact that their kids grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth and are all ****ed up now like paris hilton....growing up with everything given to them...and didnt learn how to have any hustle....so stop worrying about everyone else...and look in the mirror today

#41How the hell did I miss this thread for the last two days?
I saw some lady the other day buying shit and swiping the food stamp card like it was a credit card. Kind of takes the negative stigma out of it.
In reference to some recent posts on this thread, I think that people should be forced into mandatory abortions if on welfare. Bad enough that they can't pay for themselves, much less any offspring that are created. Either get off welfare or get rid of the kid. I'm not totally heartless though, the governement could hand out condoms to people on the government assistance payrole so that they might be able to avoid pregnancy, or maybe the month birth control shot like the Swedes suggest might be better, cause this would put the burden on the people who would have the potential to be kicked off of the welfare. Come to think of it therer should be a DNA test to see who the father is, so they could get kicked off to.Comment -

#42Mandatory abortions are a bit extreme. You can't force someone into that. The government can't dictate what someone does to their own body. No, I don't feel mandatory birth control shots fall into that category...they don't have to take them...if they don't want their check.Comment -

The full cash grant in the county I work in (the grants differ by county in my state, more expensive cost-of-living counties have higher grants) for a single parent with one child is $305 per month. And that's if they have absolutely no other income. If they have any income, their cash grant is reduced. In my state, at least, welfare recipients must also sign over any child support they are receiving to the state, and the state passes on only $50/month.
Very few people on welfare are living it up.Comment -

#48And what about the kids that feel welfare checks should just be handed to them? There are people who use the system for what it's meant for: help when things are rough. And then there are some that sit on welfare and breed without even trying to make a better life for themselves or their children...teaching their kids that the government will take care of them as long as they get knocked up young.

When I talk about depopulation to people and how the elite keep certain technology for themselves the average person does not believe anyone would do such a thing... What they don't realize is the average person has even LESS regard towards life...

Dinbg ding ding!! And you really think that doesn't happen? You really think kids don't see their parents NOT going to work and grow up to think living off welfare is okay? Take a ride through the projects around here (which are actually NICE in comparison to other parts of the country)...there are 17 years old mothers sitting on welfare with no idea who the father of their child is...just like their mommas.Comment -

#67You know this position is even worse than my mandatory abortion stance. Have a heart, I would hate to think that if I should go belly up and have to sell my assets then go on welfare, that when I got caught smokin' the bud,(and I know that I would eventually get caught because I'm am addict for the stuff) that I would be sterilized for that.Comment -

#68Well I think first you people need to get off your high horse... It's not YOUR tax money once you have given it to the government... It is now THEIR money to distribute it how they see fit...
Don't be so foolish to assume that it's being distributed correctly... If you don't like where your tax dollars are going then don't pay them... If you have no choice then don't b*tch and the people (each other) b*tch at who is handling the money...duh!
Also as I mentioned before the enviorment (and probably by design) is not geared towards a working family structure.... It's getting to the point where the enviorment to even people with money is sh*t!
To say that people should be monitored on how they spend their assistance money is like Swede's boss saying: "I don't want that b*tch spending the money I pay her on pot so we need to monitor everything she buys"... It's not a matter of who's money is who's and where it came from...it's a matter of civil liberties... I know that concept is not what it used to be is it..?
Furthermore, In our society most of the time people doing something may not be something positive.. Just because someone gets paid for what they do and it's accepted does NOT mean it's positive... Doing nothing is often better...
