You miss the point that you have even made along with everyone else... For the most part it's not that welfare people are short on getting things... If they OR THUGS steel for "Air Jordan" $200 shoes ...are you going to tell me they can't do it for a nice suite..? Why would it be done for shoes and not a suite..? Things are there..the motivation IS NOT! My sister buys my dad new clothes and he doesn't bother to wear them...WHY..???

If you cut off their free meal ticket, there would be motivation. Sure, sometimes there aren't enough jobs around...but that's no excuse not to TRY. There is an unemployment system in place for those that get laid off and can't find work. Of course, to be eligable for these benefits, you have to have WORKED at some point in your life.

All your doing is going from giving people paper to cards to product... They can still trade any of those for drugs you can not stop that.... You must change their priorities and thinking all together...

It's a lot harder to exchange a pair of children's shoes for drugs than to take your welfare card to an ATM and take out cash. Furthermore, if a person is cught selling items such as coats and shoes for their kids for drugs and alcohol, their children should be taken away. Period.

It's not my job...or yours...or the government's to change people's thinking. The government's first priority should be protecting the children. The adults are on their own. They should know better. There is NO excuse for not knowing somthing as simple as: I have to work to make money to support myself and my kids. If they can't figure that out, take the kids and put them up for adoption because their parents are too stupid to even take care of themselves....oh, and sterilize them while you're at it so they don't spawn anymore. The world has enough stupid people.

This is the same type of thinking as someone who would hit a computer when it has a software program thinking you are going to fix something...

I spent years waiting tables and working for some of the biggest assholes known to man....and I have references from them to this day that prove how hard I work. How else would a 24 year old with no college degree be a Financial Analyst for an international corporation? I SO wish I could tell you what I do. I'd shut that mouth of yours for good.

First I don't argue stupid points like watching babies is hard work... Your thinking is f*cked up if you think that... I never considered it hard work and as I used to tell my sister it was enjoyable having that toddler around not work... I got to watch her walk, talk, crawl, and develope... That is really not work that is a pleasure to care for a baby... That is why I didn't even bother.. Guys are f*cked up too... They say sh*t like "it's my turn to baby sit tonight.." You do realize there are some parts of this country with negative unemployment...meaning there are more jobs than people. I live within an hour of such a place. Some pay better than others. Besides the last time I checked, fast food joints always seem to need people. It isn't a cushy job but it is earning money. But there are people drawing a check that feel that flipping burgers are beneath them and they can make more sitting on their everbroadening ass and that people owe them a decent a life.
