Taking care of him has become more difficult as he's gotten older, but I do it...not only because I love him more than most people in my life, but because that's my job as his "parent". Same goes for my cats. They are more work and expense than I bargained for, but I do what I have to to keep them healthy and safe....and these are animals, not human babies.
3. I'm going to continue to take it as a compliment that you think I am older than I am. I'm 24. I have no reason to lie.

I know alotta people on EBT and it doesn't really do shit for them. For example, one of my best friends is a 20-year old single mother with 2 kids, who's on welfare. She said it isn't even enough to pay for the food for the month, so now she deals exstacy. Its a pretty bad social system. It WAS mean! Sporty and Nina know what I've been through to keep my pooch and make sure he's healthy and happy. I've had him since I was 12. He's been there for every major event in my life...good and bad. I never said I couldn't take care of him, or was unwilling. But it has gotten tougher as he's aged. Still, it's my job as his mommy to take care of him. If that means I can't get my haircut because he needs his hip pills, so be it. It's really sad to me that people don't make the same sacrifices and feel the same obligation to their human children. THAT is the point I was trying to make.

And thank you. I pride myself on my little furry babies. For starters, I happen to be the proud mommy of the coolest cats and dog in the world. They're also spoiled rotten. I had to go to the animal shelter in town the other day. I found a dead cat in my yard that animal control kept blowing me off about picking up, so I just dropped it off. Anywho, if I didn't have a roommate and my boyfriend wasn't allergic, I would have gone home with all four of the little angels they had out front...and the dog coming back in from his walk. His name was "Dozer"...big huge mutt, probably with some Pit. SO cute! I'm such a sap when it comes to those sweet little furry faces. Whenever I can afford to quit my second job, I plan on volunteering there. I'm going to need my dog fix when Max passes anyway. I don't think I'll be ready for a new pup for a while.
