I don't like the new breed of posters who are matriculating over here one damned bit. A bunch of immature assholes who go in everyone's threads and heckle them, give no information, and know nothing about lasting in this game longterm. This place may be getting more traffic, but I think it's heading in the wrong direction.

The number of posts is a poor indicator imo. I've seen postors with thousands of posts who are no better than someone with 10 or so. What you have to remember is this site is a public forum and also a business. It's not really very hard to ignore someone when they rant and rave about nonsense. What's funny is that most of the people complaining about the new posters have all signed up within the last 6 months themselves.

That's every site curious. They all have people who do nothing but provoke others and cause problems. Eventually they get tired and get banned though. Then there are those who get banned and come back, get banned and come back, etc. Again, SBR is a business and they want the traffic. There are many threads I don't open just because of the title.

Yeah astro that guy in the NCAABasketball was pretty hilarious, or sad with that post. But who knows maybe he just got excited and wrote it wrong? Not really sure.

Anyways, about this bash. I think alot of you are correct in that it needs a combination of regulations, which I think SBR is probably currently figuring out. Maybe something like a certain number of posts by a deadline that is way ahead of the bash, or maybe something like a really high number for people that joined start of 2008, etc. I guess no matter what your still going to have to deal with the retards that post like 2 word posts and then you have those that write really long threads at times, like BrentCrude for example,where his posts are worth reading and alot of times fun to talk about.

I think its all going to work out, I am just amazed at what is affordable to the site. I saw they had contests on here but honestly have not entered any of them but I think that is going to change for me soon

It wouldn't hurt to have some sort of construction where you don't take the forum away from the early members, when that forum -through their contributions - attracts new waves of members. Some of these new kids fart and think that major achievement is worth a new thread.

How about when one opens a thread it may select the type of posters that can actually type in the thread ... everyone can see ... but just some can type ... for example ... JJ is a hall of famer ... only SBR Hall of Famers can add info to the post. Just a thought
