#42The forum existed before points were introduced. I know I was here posting and reading and getting information for my wagers. The points were a bonus, nothing more. I don't understand why non-pros get points. They still get access to all the information that helps them make wagers. Unless they aren't here to get information to make wagers and are just here for points while making wagers with locals or non-sponsored books. If that is the case, they shouldn't get any points because they will never deposit into one of the sponsored books because they don't need to. That's why the mere mention of taking away their daily points upsets them, they know it's true. Take the points away and most of these fukks will still sign on to SBR and post because it's still their main forum. They aren't going anywhere else and they know it.

You're either with the SBR family or against it.
Or you're paranoid about giving SBR your personal information.
Or you don't see any other benefit to you personally to go through the hassle of funding a new book, sending in your id and then dealing with withdrawal issues other than getting an extra 6 points a day and you're perfectly content with your local and/or the books you're already using.
It's some of the comments in threads like these that almost make me wish SBR would ban all non-pros altogether. Considering the majority of the people I take seriously on here and have the most popular threads aren't pros for one reason or another, maybe then we'd all go somewhere else and not have to deal with the inanity of these threads once a week or so.Comment -

So "Pro's" get an extra 36 cents a day...Is this the only incentive to being "Pro"?Comment -

How do you figure? All you've managed to win is turning at least one person off from continuing her 4 week pursuit to find a way to deposit cash in a sponsored book. I'm sure SBR will be thrilled that you've created another thread that leaves at least a few people feeling rather thankful they didn't pay for the 'privilege' of joining any group that would have such immature turkeys as members.Comment -

#48I could care less whether i get points or not. Im on this site to get the opinions of others. Wagerchief isn't an option when it comes to being a pro. By the way iifold, are we still on for that 400 point bet that the chargers will go no worse than 5-1 in the AFC west?Comment -

As someone who doesn't join contests outside of the tennis forum and thinks she's already shown that she supports this forum whether I'm a pro or not, my only perk would be the extra points per day which I have yet to use properly anyway.Comment -

The most popular threads aren't full of pros, great. So they are here for the threads and not the points. Great. So don't give them any points. While it may take points away from a few members such as yourself, what it will really do is get rid of most of the members who are non-pros and will stay non-pros. Who come here for points and nothing more.
And you aren't going anywhere, don't kid yourself. If you're going to throw a tantrum and organize a strike then clearly points mean a lot more to you than you're letting on.
For now. Eliminate points for non-pros and suddenly the incentives get a lot bigger, don't they?Comment -

#54This is what I don't get. So you have ample reasons not to deposit into a book, that's great. Good for you. I still don't get why you think people should automatically be given points? The main reason to come here is the message board, not the points. You don't need points to post and you know what, if you post something worthwhile, you'll get points. Ask Paco.

The thing that is starting to piss me off on here is the arrogance of people who think because they've managed to scrape together $200 that they are now better than those who aren't pros. Not only are the most popular threads on this forum run by non-pros but I'd be willing to place a big wager that there are quite a few non-pros who turnover more in their account in a month than the majority of pros do in six. Some of them with sponsored books. So they add more value to the site by creating threads that generate the most traffic yet you've got people in this thread and several others who don't quite get why constantly bashing non-pros is ridiculous.
I think people need to stop and think a minute before posting some of this ignorant stuff on here because it's starting to become plainly clear just how hard it was for some posters to muster up that $200 considering the way they're now coming in their posts.Comment -

I don't think I need to realize anything. Do you honestly think SBR only makes money based on affiliate dollars or could they possibly be attracting sponsors based on the amount of traffic generated by the site as well? If traffic didn't matter on here, why would they pay a tool like JJ to start ridiculous threads in order to create drama and draw people to the site. Think before you post Herman.Comment -

#61Yet another one who enjoys putting words in my mouth. I said it's threads like these that make me feel thankful I'm not a Pro despite my trying for 4 weeks to become one. I've encouraged many people to become a pro. And I've said several times on here that if it wasn't for JJ fukking me over with my Moneybookers account I would've been one of the first to sign up so I'm not sure what you're getting at.
Aww too bad you are both a part of the human race. Hopefully he won't give you cooties since you are both people
