Got my 30 day notice on Friday.Already play at 5 SBR books,the one I went Pro with is down below 200 since the Greek has .10 cent lines,makes little sense to up Jamaica which is the only way to retain Pro status.Got time to think about it but depositing at one of the remaining books is not an option since I don't like what's left.Sure there will be some more that may just say screw it rather than deposit where they don't want to be.

Or you don't see any other benefit to you personally to go through the hassle of funding a new book, sending in your id and then dealing with withdrawal issues other than getting an extra 6 points a day and you're perfectly content with your local and/or the books you're already using.

It's some of the comments in threads like these that almost make me wish SBR would ban all non-pros altogether. Considering the majority of the people I take seriously on here and have the most popular threads aren't pros for one reason or another, maybe then we'd all go somewhere else and not have to deal with the inanity of these threads once a week or so.

SBR is taking the necessary steps to limit the value non-Pro membership on this forum. It's a slow but steady process.

If you're not here for the points then you won't care, if you're here for the points then become a Pro.

Any non-Pro in this thread who says they aren't here for the points or don't care is a liar or an incredibly defensive child.

haha nah... this was back when there weren't really any options for Non N. American posters other than one or two books. And you had people like Foldie saying that non Pros were worthless and then I'd have people in my tennis thread asking me how the f we're supposed to become a Pro from overseas. If you had an account with those Euro books/Pinny already, you were stuck trying to find an offshore place that would take overseas customers in the first place (again if you didn't already have an account with them). The Pro program has really developed now from when it first started. Many overseas options now/you don't even have to use a book/eliminated the fears of those worried about handing over their name and acct # in the app, etc...

I still believe every poster is important though (unless you're a scammer). Non Pros are choosing to spend their time here and contributing knowing that the points they're collecting are almost worthless unless they become a Pro and they can't take part in certain perks of the forum. I think that says a lot about the value and the enjoyment they get from SBR. Everyone's situation is different - I can't judge anyone for what they choose to do with their money.
