I'll deposit my 200 bucks at 5 Dimes some day but as an Australian who is lucky enough to enjoy legal online gambling in my own country ti doesn't make much sense to send 200 bucks to the other side of the world just to get some more points right now.

#108It would be pretty interesting considering the members that currently aren't Pro. Besides those in this thread I'm thinking of Lakerboy, Paco, TennisBabe, half the ThinkTank...Originally posted by hugh_morrisit would be...i thought maybe eggnog was going to try to assemble a team of Pros..between 5-10 posters each...and the non-pros do the same..heads up....no points, no bullshit...let the best cappers rise to the top...
Nah, not any more. After all my preaching to people both on and off the forum about why they should be a Pro, this thread has helped to cement in my head that there's no reason for me personally to do it at all. Don't care about the 6 points, don't enter contests and if I want to play poker I go to FullTilt where I can actually make money so it's not worth the hassle for me to continue to try to find a way to deposit. If someone could walk my cash into a book in Costa Rica and make the deposit on my behalf - sure. But to go through the grief I have been through just to try to join this lovely group of posters when each of the current perks means nothing to me personally, isn't worth my time any more.Originally posted by keyboardingShari wants to be a Pro and would have been a Pro if she could. You fukks don't even know which members are on your side.
And speaking of poker, don't any of you non-pro bashers see the similarity between points on here and play money and freerolls on a poker site? They aren't going through the hassle of setting up play poker rooms and sucking up the admin/mod costs for dealing with all the free players out of the goodness of their heart. They're hoping that with time those guys get sick of playing for free, think they're good enough to hit the cash tables and make a deposit, most likely to see that money pissed away for which the site will get the rake. How many posters on here do you think are brand-new to gambling - and I'm assuming based on the number of threads on here talking about protecting noobs from fake touts, posters declaring they've never made a bet before, etc the number would be quite high - and use their points in the SBR book while they're learning before they ever make a cash deposit anywhere? I actually wish I could see the number of posters that actually ever even cash out their points and instead blow them in the casino or in the book. I have a feeling the figure would begin to disprove the theory that SBR is losing a ton of money because of non-pros and the points system as opposed to the amount of money they've made thanks to those non-pro posters who have clicked on a banner and will give a chunk of their losses to SBR as long as they remain with that book, whether they sign in here every day or once a month.Comment -

#109LOL. i admit I'm horrible at sports betting. i have zero ego when it comes to capping. which is why SBR loves it when I support them by clicking on one of their links and depositing money. if I'm going to lose money anyways from my horrible capping, some of that money should go towards SBR and supporting the point system.Originally posted by hugh_morrisit would be...i thought maybe eggnog was going to try to assemble a team of Pros..between 5-10 posters each...and the non-pros do the same..heads up....no points, no bullshit...let the best cappers rise to the top...Comment -

#110I'm hoping at some point they actually pick up an Aussie sponsor. Even after I move from here I'll still at least keep one of my accounts open and it seems that they're missing out on a big opportunity considering the level of gambling fanaticism rampant in this country. I even told the late-night CSO at Sportingbet last week, Steve, to come check out the site hoping he'll tell his boss to throw some cash SBR's way to make our lives much easier as far as this Pro thing is concerned.Originally posted by DomesticI'll deposit my 200 bucks at 5 Dimes some day but as an Australian who is lucky enough to enjoy legal online gambling in my own country ti doesn't make much sense to send 200 bucks to the other side of the world just to get some more points right now.

#114This is ridiculous but kiddies must play! Most so called Pros here like iifold simply have not the funds to encounter real betting leaving them with no choice but to gamble with measly points. I withdraw thousands of real dollars without depositing so why should I? To be a pro one needs to be serious to which I find extremely little of here. iifold is a sorry case and being a ghost of king is the one that should not be allowed. Rules clearly says one cannot have more then one account as iifold has. The King a long time ago was declared dead by himself, as well as by most of us, and needs to stay buried as the smell is quite ripe and nasty! What's going to be your next name? What's going to be your next game? We need some seriousness here not your childness. Let's be real as it is time that you learn that you are of no use here so next time feel free not to return as another made up individual. The KING is hogwash and every extension of him.Comment -

#117You dont "have" to deal with anything. You dont "have" to open any thread you dont want to.Originally posted by shari91Or you can't easily deposit money into a sponsored book because of the country you live in. or we dont have $200 or the guts to admit it
Or you're paranoid about giving SBR your personal information. or we dont have $200 or the guts to admit it
Or you don't see any other benefit to you personally to go through the hassle of funding a new book, sending in your id and then dealing with withdrawal issues other than getting an extra 6 points a day and you're perfectly content with your local and/or the books you're already using. or we dont have $200 or the guts to admit it
It's some of the comments in threads like these that almost make me wish SBR would ban all non-pros altogether. Considering the majority of the people I take seriously on here and have the most popular threads aren't pros for one reason or another, maybe then we'd all go somewhere else and not have to deal with the inanity of these threads once a week or so.Comment -

#118This isnt something that is New. How many times has someone posted "you dont even gamble " or "most of the people on this board dont even bet real $$$ " ?Originally posted by BadNina
I love how this whole "pro/nonpro" issue has become a combination pissing contest/kindergarden fight. It ranges from "My account can beat your account" to "I wanna be a superdupermegapro cause I bet 7gazillion dollars!!"
Thanks for the laughs!!
This isnt a new issue as there has always been a suspicion that are large % of the board were wannabes who love talking about their $5000 bets but in reality dont have $5 to bet.
Its the same suspicion that the sponsor books had and part of the reason the pro status was created. Its just now all the "non-pros" have to dream up outrageous excuses for why they arent pros. Very few if any have the integrity to just admit the truth.
I know people are prone to arrogance, but thats on both sides of the fence. Sure, we pros shouldnt be so arrogant about it, but there is a lot of arrogance coming from the non pros as well.
" Some of the non pros turn over more action in one month than the pros do in 6"
B U L L S H I T
Also, its a lot of these non pros who I remember were so quick to throw in another posters face the old " you dont even bet real $$$$. I bet thousands a game, and you dont even really bet "
I remember that very statement coming from someone months ago, that person is now a non pro throwing out loads of excuses.
So this isnt a new issue, there has always been the "some of us are real gamblers vs. some of us arent" question. Now we just know which is which.Comment -

That is funny. They were all willing to give their account numbers to join free contests. I saw a lot of these names in every free contest SBR had. They never complained about having to give their account number. But now they all have millions in these books but they arent going to give SBR their precious account number just to get some extra points, cheaper prices in the store, and be able to join pro only contests. Oh no, those perks mean nothing to these non pros. After all, they are all millionaires who beat the books arses every weekend, they dont need the silly sbr perks.
And we are the arrogant ones ??? LOLComment -

#122You're right nobs. I and the other non-Pros don't have the $200 to gamble with as you've so clearly insinuated by throwing quotes into my post. Conversely, every Pro just had the $200 laying around and didn't have to scramble or beg for it although some have clearly stated on here that that's exactly what they had to do. This argument is stale and has been done to death too many times already. Best of luck with your bets.Originally posted by nobs

NO NO NEVER. NOT AGAINST YOU
I KNOW SICKLER YOU ARE A MULTI TRILLIONAIRE WHO COULD EASILY PAY OFF THE DEBTS OF EVERY NATION ON EARTH, BUT YOU PREFER TO NOT GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER, YOU PREFER TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS AND CONTINUE HITTING 95 % ATS ON YOUR $5,000,000 PER BETS PLAYS.
I KNOW ITS JUST THAT YOU PREFER TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS WHILE YOU CRUSH THE BOOKS FOR $765,345,000 EVERY WEEKEND. IT WOULD BE CRAZY TO GIVE SBR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER JUST TO GET EXTRA POINTS, CHEAPER PRICES, AND BE ABLE TO PLAY IN THE PRO ONLY POKER TOURNEYS. THOSE THINGS ARE OF COURSE MEANING LESS TO A MULTI QUADRILLIONAIRE LIKE YOU SICKLER.
AND OF COURSE, US JEALOUS MERE MORTALS WOULD PROBABLY TRY TO USE INFO LIKE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER TO LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNTS JUST SO WE COULD ONCE IN OUR LIFE SEE A BALANCE OF $876,234,987,345,765,987,234.15.
