Sad Time for the City of Louisville . . .
Following a year in which we were a force in the college world series, Orange Bowl Champs, and really came alive late last year in college basketball, well it's all fell apart. Pre season National Champion contenders in football and our coach turns a BCS team into a 6-6 squad that can't even make a bowl game. Our Basketball team ranked # 5 preseason and i dont even know if we are a NCAA tournament team now. Very disapointed at this time. Being a die hard fan, is so hard at times, I mean it's like im out their on the court/field with them. It makes me almost uninterested in other college sports, having my team nowhere to be found. Back to football, we lose Brian Brohm, Harry Douglas, and Eric Wood ( 1st rounders in the upcoming draft) and now Anthony Allen is transfering, and Mario Urriuta declared his draft status. We are losing recruits, and i just can't see the light.

Who's to blame? . . . Well Our AD was pulling all the right strings until Petrino left us and he went out and hired his friend in Steve Kragthrope, who is way out of his league now. So unemotional on the field, and the players reflect off that. Pitino has gambled on so many recruits in his tender at the 'Ville and it shows constantly. We have so many charcter issues on this team is sickning. And our baseball team has been depleted with seniors leaving. Just a sad time in the 'Ville.

It was a very poor year. Suddenly there was no defense. Even a very good QB cant win you games when the D is soft. I know the feeling. My Longhorns were National Champs and now they would struggle to beat Baylor.

what? he took Providence to the final four with a bunch a scrappy white boys, brought UK back from the probation that Eddie Sutton got them in, they played in argumentatively the greatest game ever in against Duke in 92', won the title in 96', went to the championship again in 97', then he left for the pros(which he has always stated that he regrets)and the team with all the players he recruited won the title in 98', and you look at all the coaches in Div 1 that were on his staff at some time in their career and learned from him, Tubby Smith, Billy Donavan, etc. he has just had bad luck at UofL with injuries and recruits who signed, end up trying pro ball. the classes lined up for the next 2 seasons sound very promising, UofL is supposed to be on the verge of getting some kid from NY who is supposedly a playground legend already, he's being compared to the next Stephan Marbury. they got a kid coming from American Christian in PA., and another from IMG Academy in FL.
