I tend to pick winners on parlays where I jot the selection down on paper and then when I'm ready to submit my bet,I mull the selection over and change it.It's the kiss of death to cross off your selections like that because time and time again they come back to haunt you.On many occassions I had the trigger ready to be pulled on a winning bet only to hear some talking head, empty suit on ESPN in the background say that my team was going to lose big and it caused me to change my mind.
In gambling there are some weird vibes, being stymied, whammies etc.I can't come up with enough names to describe the would of,could of,should of's when it comes to the mind games that gambling does to a person.Maybe sound effects are a better way to describe this situation and you can hear the Pacman game crash and burn sound when you were eaten, or the got zonked sound effect from Let's make a deal ''wha, wha, wha, whaaaaaa in your head when the above mentioned situation takes place.
My suggestion to people is,once you have some selections on paper, never change your mind. It's either that or don't put a bet selection on paper until you are 100% sure you are going to make the bet.You have to stare at that damn piece of paper with the crossed off big payday and it's a heartache and a bummer.
