A few days I asked what the best browser was, as I'd heard that IE had security risks.
Most who were kind enough to reply recommended Firefox.
Right, FF is more secure ----- becuase they do not enable "risky" programs like Active X or Java!
Wow, that's like saying flag football is safer than real football. Shoot, off course it is - but rather limited in complexity and enjoyment.
I'm sure their are plug-ins, add-ons, etc for FF, that only a complete computer nerd will not resent the hours it likely takes to track them down and install them.
FF looks great if you just want safe net surfing, and no more interactivity than posting on a forum like this.
But if you want to download photos in an advanced manner, like I do whenever I sell on ebay ---- FORGET IT!
Via Active X, ebay advanced download lets you view a photo before downloading it to an auction, thereby letting you pick and choose. With FF as the browser, all you can get is Ebay "Basic," text description but no thumbnail before you download, and the download takes minutes, not a few seconds as with Active X.
Forget it. Even if one could enable Active X onto Firefox, why bother? You then have a clone of IE. Just stick with IE in the first place.
