that door, baby! Angles fear to tread here.
In the notorious line of BS stories I present the following.
I received this e-mail:
"I just won another 8% lock. My definition of lock is an angle that can't lose, on a game by game basis. The angle gives me approximately a 4.5% to 7.5% edge over the book. Sometimes better. Never worse. Let me be clear. Where the book normally has you by the balls at +110 I now get +104.5 to +107.5.
The question is not if you believe me or not. The question is how much you are willing to bet that I'm wrong.
PS - I know what you're thinking. I only play at two books."
Seems an easy enough bet. The problem is that I know this guy and he's sharp. We shared some research in the past. So what would you do? Take the bet or pass?
Personally, I'm inclined to take the bet for the max, because if I lose I get the angle in return. The guy is either bluffing and trying to measure me up, or he wants to share the angle with a friend but get something for it in return.
