Holmgren thread because he has earned it. A freak basketball player on his way....
    To matching the unmatchable Wilt.
You have to be kidding me--wouldn't this be the expression basketball fans first said about Wilt when he was starting at Kansas?
Could Wilt even play as a freshman?

Holmgren is shooting a modest per-game clip of 14.6, but this next stat is what's giving him that freak name; 46.8 from rhrees.
Add 3.3 blocks and fg.% of 64.2, rbs, 9, but the most amazing stat that sits right along side his 3-shooting is, he's playing time is 25.5 minutes of a full game!
The big kid also seems to be getting smoother as the season progresses.

So, early on, I didn't jump him as the POL because I liked a more mature player, Banchero.
Now, is there any player who can beat this freshman out for POY?

Did you watch Zags @ Sd last night Abe?
Holmgren had a 54 second stretch where he scored 8 points and started the run where the Zags covered.
Chet hit a three, then blocked a shot, grabbed the ball, went coast-to-coast to the hoop for a layup, got a board brought the ball down the court, drilled another 3!
8 points in less than a minute, putting the Zags up by 25 and timeout Sd
The kid is amazing. Can do it all, and I’m most impressed with his ball handling skills

      Chet shot 75% (9 for 12), 23 points, hit 3 “threes” and 12 boards

He's an even skinnier version of Durant.

I only watched highlights but I checked all the ZAG stats.
Where do you find "live" basketball? And how much if you want to tell?
I refuse to pay for games because I am not on a winning routine for weeks. If I was, I may or may not watch the whole game? That's a lot of ads and I never watch games if I have a wager on them. I do check the score routiney, well unless it's looking ugly.

Fats, and Stake, this basketball thread is simply too boring so I'm headed to the one about Pearl banging his assistant.

Then I have guessed wrong again? First half.
I keep looking for them to be sleepy headed from all these last few blow outs?
They have to be, somewhat, not too fired up after all these easy wins and add that 26 shiner they put on BYU already?

                      Holmgren 2

Yes, when you're down 38 to 13 with 6 minutes till half, you start believing your + 8 on with BYU is not looking too favorable.
                      * But, back to something much more important, like, is Holmgren from our planet?
That driving left handed layup was something to behold.
This young man is much stronger than his deceptive legs would tell you.

Now you tell me what player is a better prospect to win POY?

And I saw videos of Wilt as a Kansas athlete and it showed he was just as slender as our favorite Zag player.
But Wilt was dedicated weightlifter and soon packed on about 60 lbs of muscle.
Will Holmgren go that route, too?

Granted I've watched 10x more cbb then usual because I'm running well, but I think Holmgren and Jaden Ivey are 2 of the best prospects I've seen in many years.

Can't keep Bonchero out right now.
Duke is a major threat and he is the #1 reason. He does a little bit of every basketball fundamental you would want.
                          And at 6-10, 250.

He's like a 7' White Tarantula. He does what he wants and he sure is hungry.
That would be a perfect nickname for Chet.
                              The White Tarantula.

I'm looking ahead at Gonzaga and especially at the White Tarantula, and I do worry that he just might believe [I don't] he can continue shooting and hitting threes as if they are free throws.
When, and if he does meet up with the Auburns, the Arizonans, the Kentuckys, and even the Dukes, he will scare the livin' daylights out of me if he's firing from long distance.

He's 7' and is freaking agile so I want him within 12 to 16 feet of the basket, often.
And if the coach still gives him the freedom to shoot from long distance, I do not like their chances of beating 2 major powers in a row, and maybe even 3 in a row?
My crystal ball has been a bit foggy lately but my long-time experience helps me to still see quite crispy.

Yes, I know, more Zag doubts.
