Look at the details though. Isn’t going to take control of the team till 2023. I wouldn’t be surprised if him and his partners move this team to Seattle then.

Timberwolves owner is stating the deal can only take place if the team stays in Minnesota. Their lease is signed until 2035.

Yeah, but Jeter bought a big chunk of the Marlins and finally got back to the playoffs.

Mahomes bought a chunk of the KC Royals now they’re light years better and will be in the wild card mix this year. Or should be.

Point being smart retired sports stars know how the sports business works.

Look, I’m not the biggest A-Rod supporter in the world as I think he can be a putz at times too but many insiders say he’s smart and a smart business person.

No, city put 40mm into TC 2 years ago. 15 years left on lease

    BUT,

there's likely a buyout provision or something

If you move this team to Vegas it's worth 2b, or, hypothetical, Bejing, it'dbe worth 5 billion...so it's a no brainer

My close friend works for the Twins lives in the burbs of Minneapolis he says Minny/St. Paul has pockets of ghettos that are getting brutal.
He told me if you wander to like Anoka you're taking your life in your own hands.

Looks like ARod had a choice between a basketball team and a hispanic dream. He chose the cheaper of the two options
