Matchbook live Games. Anyone play these hard?
I just joined matchbook two weeks ago. I just started playing their live games this last week.

The Navy/Pitt game I ended up with two large green numbers at the end of the game from buying the other team after each score. I think a lot of people over react to scores early in games.

If I can get a little quicker at grabbing numbers that have value I think their is some money here.

To be fair, I had a big lose on the monday night game. Because I had the over the second half big, I bought the bills ML on the last drive by the Dallas. The only way I could lose was for Dallas to score, miss the two points then get an onside kick and make a FG. I got half my money off the Bills when they ruled that INC. but watching high lights of that game makes me sick!!! (plus I'm a Packer fan from the 90's and have bad memmories of Dallas)

I do exactly what you did. When one team scores, I bet the otherway as the line for the other team is usually a little too low. In the NFL in th Pitt/AZ game I bet the Cards immediately after the Steelers scored and that worked out very nicely.

Betting games that will be very close are profitable when you just bet against whoever just scored.

You need to watch the game so closely on tv to bet in running type stuff to have a chance. Too many guys use the Internet only watching live scores .

I have been considering this, but not using the strategy you suggest. I noticed that most of my big bets are what I call "nervous breakdown" games. I usually have at least one nervous breakdown watching the game. But, my pick usually pulls off some kind of miracle and wins the game. I have been thinking that if I just stuck to my picks no matter what happened in the game, and added to my bet as the game looked darker and darker for my team, I could make a killing. I will give you an example. I put $3000 on the Baltimore Orioles somewhere in the last two weeks of the season. I forget who they were playing. The game was 1-0 the entire game until the ninth inning. I think the other pitcher had a 2 or 3 hitter going. In the top of the ninth with 2 outs and nobody on, a Baltimore player hit a home run, now the game is 1-1. I think it was three innings later Baltimore scored 5 runs in the top of the inning. Now their gasoline alley bullpen is in the game. They give up 3 runs in the bottom of the inning, bases loaded, nobody out. Then one of their worst pitchers strikes out the side. Huh???

I had a tampa bay game like this too. I think they were playing the red sox. The red sox were ahead almost the entire game, then Tampa put on one of their hitting exhibitions, then in the bottom of the ninth the red sox pull within one run, then the sox load the bases with nobody out. Tampa brings in Ball Four and he strikes out the side on 9 pitches. I looked up his record, he has NEVER struck out the side on 9 pitches before, ever.

Anyway, my big money plays are almost always come from behind miracle games. Since I am going to bet on the game anyway, it seems logical to get at least part of the bet after the odds go way in my favor.

I guess I should start tracking this idea and see what it looks like.

Sounds easy at first. Not so easy when a run a bad luck comes. Not a fool proof way to bet.
