I really don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more ridiculous contest in my life but MLB has decided to run a decade long contest of the leaders in 2020-2029 of these categories:

HR
Hits
Wins (Pitcher)
Strikeouts (Pitcher)
Team Wins
World Series Titles
MVP Awards
Cy Young Awards
All Star Game selections

The top 4 places get points:
10 for correct 1st place prediction
7 if player or team chosen comes in 2nd
4 if player or team chosen comes in 3rd
1 if player or team chosen comes in 4th

If two players or teams, for example, tie for first, they both get 10 points and the next one below them get 4. If there is a tie there, same as above, with each getting 4 points but no points are awarded after that. Only 4 players or teams may receive points (unless huge log jam of course)

Tie breakers for the contest will be who did well at challenge #1 and so on and so forth until 1 winner is determined.

Of course you can read all of that on the site but I must ask, what is your opinion of what seems to be the longest running single contest ever created? And how many of you will even be alive to collect?

Personally I have no idea why MLB is doing this. $10,000,000 would have been a better prize but even then, what the actual fuk?
