It’s tough. A decent strategy I have is look for matches that are basically a pickem prematch, and then bet the loser of the first set to come back and win the match. You’ll usually get them at a really nice number, especially if they lose the first set 6-2 or 6-1.

I justify this strategy in that the line was a pick em pre match, so the players are fairy equal, decent chance that the player who loses set 1 wins set 2 and then you’ve got like +200 for a guy who needs to just win the 3rd set (and was -110 prematch anyway)

Another strategy I have is look for a match with a player who was -500 or higher prematch who lost the first set, then bet them to win the match. You’re getting really good value there, many times they’ll storm back and you’ll have an easy win.

I prefer to use these strategies on lower levels (challengers, ITF) where you’re much more likely to see volatility and wild swings.

You won’t see a swing like that unless it’s a third set tiebreak or very deep into the match

The live betting puts a lot of stock into prematch odds and current situation, so a -500 early in the first set won’t reach +200 at all

Here are the 3-5 tools/advantages that I look for:

Pattymayo is bang on with the major favorite losing the first set, then coming back to win... dont be afraid to lay a bit of juice... books will hang a -120 on a guy they think will easily come back... so long as they have points to defend... dont be afraid.

befor i live bet i look at form, previous matches, and points to defend.

I use Bet365 as a tool not a wagering platform:

ex) Player A.) +200 B.) -225

Player A.) wins Set 1 6-4 1st serve percentage of 88%
Blayer B.) Loses Set 1 4-6 1st serve percentage of 35%

there’s a great chance neither player A, or Player B will sustain such form..

Too much juice in ATP tennis. The only value in WTA is that live tennis overrates breaks (bc it’s common to break serve in women’s tennis) - you can usually get much better odd live than pre-match if you just wait for a break.

One strategy I use in live tennis is I go to tennisabstract and see what records players have after they lose the 1st set.

There are some girls who completely give up after the 1st set and 95% of the time lose the match, so I bet against them.

Likewise there are some girls, who after winning 1st set always win the match. These girls are closers and there are very few of them around but sometimes you can find them.

Dont try to chase in live tennis. Try to use logic in whatever you bet. Like the mens final I bet almost all my french open winnings because Nadal was showing signs of pain in his holding hand. I proceeded to bet that his Opponent would hold serve twice and get the over 9.5 for the third set. It didnt happen but I had a reason for doing it. It is risky but you have to live with the possibility that you lose. If you cant handle the idea you can lose x amount of money on a single bet, then dont even bet it in the first place.
