We have an artificial grass soccer field up here thats super nice, the entire complex is newer. Unfortunately its in Capitol Hill district down by the hospitals, so it's used a lot by vagrants, druggies and homeless people. The turf smells like piss and its not uncommon to find needles. It's really too bad because it's so nice but it's not a place i'd participate in a soccer friendly or even sit down to eat a bite.
Artificial turf or real grass?

#38It’s bad all around up here. I don’t think there’s a prettier place to live in the summer time than the Seattle area. Unfortunately we have to comb through playgrounds before letting our 2 year our play. One day we went to Ravenna park with a few other families to pick up the playground area (no kids) and we left with 28 used needles. For perspective, Ravenna is your typical $750,000 homes, small community feel in the middle of Seattle.
We we drove an hour outside of Sea the other day for a hike and found some needles there as well
Scary AF especially with a kidComment -

Seattle, Washington.. Wow.. A black man.. Shit hole city now that has traffic and that was once grunge and kinda cool is now just a drugged out depressing major city..
Couldn't pay me to live in Seattle.. I'd just rust and commit suicide with all that rain and those gloomy skies...

#42Jibs I’m conflicted on a.) whether I like living here and b.) if we’ll continue living here. Summers are amazing, tons of hiking, skiing, Vancouver and Portland nearby, lots to do. Winters SUCK, lots of gray days and rain. I do have a sweet pension and of course the longer I stay, the more it grows. We’ll see
All that to say, if we move, it will be to your shithole neck of the woods where I’ll probably be gangbanged by 6 Latina broads upon arrival. We talked about moving to SF and that’s still in the equation as I could make $225,000+ but we love LA, particularly Manhattan/Redondo beach and Topanga Canyon.
But I have to ask, how would a black man fit in down thereComment -

#46Black men are king in Seattle and Vancouver. Woman look for the BBC.
Southern Cal is great if you are single and have money. It sucks if you are broke because everything cost. It also sucks if you're married because there's so much ass in your face. Best thing is to tell your wife you're fukking around because the temptation is too strong. Most women in LA are loners, even when they have friends, they aren't really close. So they are pretty easy if you got game. No better weather than Southern Cal. Every day is a great day and coming from the NW, you will think you are in heaven. Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, MDR, Santa Monica are great spots. Further south at Newport beach to Laguna is also nice. You're also a short flight to Vegas at any time.Comment -

Turf is horrible to play on. Turf toe, turf burns and damaged knees are all with turf. The ground is hard as shit too, it's like playing on concrete. Pass. The new stuff that has the rubber pellets are even worse. Those pellets get in your eye's, mouth, underwear. Real Sports did a report where they showed cancer rates rising in young kids playing on that shit. Double pass.Comment -

#49A good friend of mine played for the Seahawks and he would tell me crazy stories up there. I went to Vancouver once with a group of guys and the woman were all over the black guys. Lot of beautiful women up there and not a lot of guys. Most men can get lucky up there, which is why we would go.Comment -

#51I've lived in a lot of places and have been all over the world but a ton of places in the US. My first job out of college was working in nuclear reactors. I've been to most of them across the US and Canada. I then worked for the DOE at weapons facilities. I then started a company that sent guys to do inspections at nuclear facilities. Then my other company had people in every city. I'd go all over the place to train them. I'd probably average 3 or 4 cities a week, non stop for years. I've been to so many restaurants across the US it's crazy. One year I tried to go to every 5 star restaurant.Comment -

#53ha, no not black, just said that because Jibs called me black in a recent post. I'm white, Irish heritage and drink Carolans daily. My wife is half black and some have said I have the black gene but it has nothing to do with skin color. Trust me, as a white guy it's hard to the attention of milato dancer that is a legit 10, gotta have some god given talents
I knew you were white as rice. Carolans, unreal. Shit is good, but just not something I can hammer down all day. My Ukrainian side comes out, and I stick to the Vodka. Lucky man to have a woman that deals with you.

now, my buddy has the emergency flashers on like we're the fukking PD or something, pulls up next to the van.
What happened next was frightening as hell for me.
I roll my window down, and the guy in the passenger seat of the van rolls down his. Instantly I can see 3 young men in the van, probably early 30's in age, guy in the passenger seat has tats on both forearms. I remember a fancy computer where the radio would normally be, bright as fukk it was. So my buddy asks them what they're doing and the passenger guy clearly annoyed just says "we work for the DOD and that's all you need to know". So my partner hounds them a bit more when the passenger gets out with a fully auto rifle, never points it at us but just has it hanging from his neck, and tells us we need to get the fukk away. So we do and did so quick.
Needless to say, we chatted with a few coppers back in town just to get the story. Apparently, they were ex-special forces soldiers that contract with the DOD to escort nuclear weaponry and waste on highways in America. Apparently per protocol, if it snows or the roads become hazardous, the semi that has the nuclear crap on it must pull over and the van has to stay near by. I remember the officers said "Do not approach the van nor the semi, do not talk to them"And we're thinking too fukking late for that. The officers had already been given the heads up that they were in town and the local PD had no jurisdiction over that semi nor that van or anything involving them. If the semi were to become incapacitated, the PD were to stay put and do as directed by the DOD contractors.
Luckily, nothing more occurred that night but I learned that our highways have nuclear weapons and waste transported on them everyday.
This occurred just off I-40 in a small town near OKC and the semi apparently was headed to Amarillo if I remember correctly to some nuclear weapons plant, plantex or pantex, something like that.
Just never know boys, but I'll never forget that experience.Comment -
