the spread is an invention of the gambling industry making the outcome completely random.

This not necessarily true in college football they play for style points as well as a win and hope to get selected by the college playoff committee.

Interesting. I'm usually not fearful. It's more anger, or excitement but yeah they all feel the same. Gonna try to turn stress into excitement, and see how it goes.

Even betting what I can comfortably afford to lose, I (we) can't help but sweating (stressing) over the course of a game. I like it better when I'm unable to watch, and just simply check the scores and stats the next day.

In the NFL...forgetaboutit! At least 15 times in a game a big play or good gain gets nullified by a penalty. One almost has to wait 5 minutes after a TD to mentally celebrate.

Off topic, but what's really tough for me is losing streaks. I'm in it for the long run I know, but an 0 for 4, or 1 for 5 day will always bum me out. We're supposed to be completely cold and analytical when betting, but is that really possible?

There is no more frustrating way to bet than betting ML dogs

I don't know if I would say it's stressful because you don't expect to win, but the thousand ways underdogs find to lose games late will drive u insane
