    Led Zeppelin reunion is confirmed!
You just knew they would get back together for something sooner or later with all those rumors out there floating around for the last few years. Besides, they just wanted to steal Van Halen's thunder.

Led Zeppelin reunion: demand for tickets crashes site

Show to have 'largest demand in history' says promoter

Demand for Led Zeppelin's one-off reunion gig has crashed the gig's official website.

Led Zeppelin are set to play the 02 Arena in London on November 26.

The show is a tribute event for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.

The ballot to get one of the 18,000 tickets, priced at £125 each, opened at 4pm but Ahmettribute.com crashed within minutes.

Promoter Harvey Goldsmith, who is putting on the event, said there was demand from as far afield as Japan, Australia and the United States. He predicted that the gig would cause the "largest demand for one show in history".

The £125 tickets are limited to two per person and will be distributed by ballot only.

Those wishing to go to the show must register on Ahmettribute.com to be in the ballot.

Registration closes on Monday (September 17), while any tickets that appear on online auction sites afterwards will be immediately cancelled.

Bonham was the guy who died coach. His son will be taking his place on this one though.

Hendrix played for many guys. He played guitar for Little Richard and many others. He had his own group which was called the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Only put out 3 or 4 albums but many have been released posthmously.

Mostly agree, but I saw Heart last week, and Ann Wilson still blows you away. She did covers of a few Zep songs, and the people around us said "Robert who?". Ann is 57, but you'd never know it from her voice.

I saw them in 1976 or 77 in Dallas TX, and they were pretty darn good. As far as going to concerts for me those days have come and gone.

on the topic of Led Zep, i'm to young to have seen them in their prime, but i seen them in 95' at rupp arena, they kicked ass.

Thanks Dan, that live version of Stairway was in addition to 3 other Zep songs I heard today, (The Crunge, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog), so all in all it was a pretty good day today.

I think all of Led Zeppelin's album's have been certified diamond (over 10,000,000 units shipped), compare that to a band like the Rolling Stones which have only had one and I think you know who the REAL greatest rock and roll band of all time is.

I think there was actually talk of a real reunion tour, but that looks like a no-go and this one of concert for that Atlantic records chief will have to satisfy Zep fans for the rest of eternity......

Spec One-Three, peace man. If you don't want to see them, that's cool, means there'll be more room for old fans like me who have gotten wider over the years

But young man, let me go on and tell you. I did grow up on on that "60s garbage," as you so charitably put it, and there's a lot of goooooood stuff that I bet you haven't heard just like there's a lot of good stuff from your list -- I actually own Guns & Roses and Motley Crue CDs -- that I haven't heard. But let me tell you this, back then it was a lot of weed and a whole lot of whiskey for me. Nowadays, I just take second hand, drink a beer or four, take some Geritol and pop two of those Vee pills (wink-wink, say no more). It's an incredible high, but I seem to be losing my hearing and experiencing more hair growth inside my ears than above them. Go figure. Could be the beer.

You can actually understand the lyrics to Ann Wilson's version of the Immigrant Song. I still like the original though.

Looks like the Led Zeppelin reunion clips are starting to hit Utube.

Heres the clip of Stairway to Heaven they did last night at the show.
