I have asked some A-rated books the following hypothetical question:
Your book is posting a baseball line: New York Yankees with pitcher J. Kennedy
The pitchers name is Ian Kennedy, so the line should be: New York Yankees with pitcher I. Kennedy
Two hours before start of the game you discover the mistake.
Will you cancel bets on J. Kennedy?
The answers:
5Dimes
When there's an error on the line, the 5Dimes position is to void all wagers done on that line. These include typos and other errors. In that case, 5Dimes would void the wagers, and as usual, we will inform our customers, so they can be aware of the situation and will also bet on the correct line. I hope this clarifies 5Dimes position on erroneous lines. Please let us know if we can be of further help.

WSEX
The bet will be cancelled because it is on a team and pitcher combination which does not exist. I Kennedy is a pitcher and the Yankees are a team BUT the wager on the Yankees with job Kennedy is at this time an impossible state of affairs and is as such an invalid wager.
To reiterate: if you bet on Barry bonds to win the Kentucky derby that wager would also be cancelled as there is no horse named Barry Bonds running in the derby. It would be an invalid wager. This would be the case even if there was a horse named Mary bonds, Billy Bonds or Sally bonds.
When wagers are cancelled due to an incorrect pitcher (human error) or pitching change, normal procedure is to email all customers to notify them of the cancellation. In amble time for customers to replace their wagers if they wish.

That decision will be up to the booking department and my manager Wally. If the wagers gets canceled, we will notify all our customers via email.

In other words this is a hypothetical question. We would leave it as long as the last name is correct. How many pitchers does the Yankess have with last name Kennedy?
