Not sure if you're looking for a serious answer or just venting. It's hard to imagine anyone who spends any time around posting forums not knowing who Wager Web is.
They have been around a long time time. Used to be Casablanca. They have a clone called BetDon. I could go into a lot more detail but I suspect your main thrust was to ask how the fukk they got your cell number.
That I don't know. I've been dealing with them for close to 5 years, and even though I'm sure my phone number is right there on my account, and I don't recall them ever phoning me.
How do you get rid of them? I don't know that either. Maybe ask them that. Since they don't phone me - but they do e-mail about promos - maybe they can flag accounts that way (???)Comment -

This past year at the big sportsbook meeting in costa rica the book owners vowed to tighten security and not buy stolen databases. It's a start but wont have any effect this year. Luckily, marketing budgets are down so everyone will get a few fewer calls and junk mail.Comment -

I'm sure you'll agree luke that the public had very little sympathy for your position in that complaint - and it is doubtful that you will get more now - however for them to phone and offer a re-up is pretty dopey.
I have to admit it is making me chuckle here but, sure, all accounts involved in that complaint should have been immediately deactivated.Comment -
SSN's? I've been in this business since it has been a business, and never, not once, has anyone asked for my SSN. There is only one reason to ask for that and they have no reporting requirements so I am mystified how those could be in any data base.
When an employee gets shown the door, or tired of their 25 cents an hour wages they can make an annual income selling these lists. Back in the day I would get a lot of calls from XYZ book, hey, sign up and you will be in the best book in the world. That has almost ceased.Comment
