He puts asses in the seats, so I guess that contract is worth it.
Mike Mussina and Reggie Jackson were the only two big contracts that actually paid off.
Mussina was brilliant as a Yankee, and Reggie is immortal. That's it.

I'd say in comparison to many other contracts of guys making as much or more than Judge, his contract is a huge bargain.

          That's fair.

Yes, Judge disappears in the postseason, but the intangibles are what make the contract reasonable.
Like I said, he's the main attraction there in the Bronx Zoo, he sells the 200-dollar seat, retailers here can't keep Judge merch on the shelves, he's a good man, he spreads his money around to charities, he's never been in an ounce of trouble in his life...

The numbers he puts up in terms of OBP, OPS, run production are off the charts great in comparison to everyone else. He is also good defensively and running the bases and as you pointed out is a good man and very good leader for his teammates and the fans as well as a great role model. Hell, I can't stand the Yankees but have to give credit where credit is due and he certainly deserves it.

Soto makes almost twice as much and isn't even half the overall player.

Take Judge off the Yanks and put in Raleigh.

They do better, same, or worse?

I would have voted for the catcher.

I was a catcher, I'm partial, but having said that, you can't go wrong with either, but there's no upgrade with Raleigh and Judge out of the equation. Keep Judge.

Generation great catchers are like unicorns.
Guys like Piazza, Joe Mauer, Gary Carter, Jorge Posada, and Sal Perez are rare, so you can make a case for Raleigh.

                  Judge murdered raliegh in war

You're talking almost 1100 OPS vs 950. The problem for Raleigh is he just doesn't consistently hit for avg. He hits a lot of bombs because he's a huge flyball hitter but look at his actual exit velocity, he's not really even close to judge
