    Just Bet, What a Joke
I called yesterday to get a name for Moneygram. The transaction was made 10 minutes later. I called Justbet w/ the Moneygram info. Five minutes later I get a call at work (that is where I was) from Justbet. They wanted me to call Moneygram and change the receivers name because the person who they originally gave me was sick. I thought it was a joke. I called Just bet and the girl first apologized, then she became a snot asking me if I ever heard of people getting sick. In all I spent 1 hour trying to get it resolved but since I did it w/ a debit card they (Moneygram) could only cancel the transaction and refund the card in 7-10 business days. Justbet is a joke. When I posed the question that why didn;t they check and see if people are "sick" prior to giving names out, they said they'll look into doing it. For my troubles I got a $25 free play

Seriously? So that means you were the first pick up for that person that day. What time did you make your deposit? I'm in the market but not if they don't do any volume. BTW, nothing is worse than getting attitude from people that wipe their asses with their hands, albeit hands they use to count my money with.

I called them at 12:20ish. I got a Moneygram confirmation at 12:45 and called them. Maybe this is the state of the industry that we now should be concerned with "sick" **/** pickup mules.

The type of story that would never make me bet there. Not so much because of what happened, but because it reflects an underlying attitude that is not on top of things and begs for trouble.

The baseball games from late PM still aren't graded. That sucks. What if someone wanted to bet golf matchups? Wait, they don't offer golf matchups. Customer Service opens at 11:00PM EST and closes 9:00 PM EST. I know it is the slow season, but if they want to compete they need to get their act together.

I guess they are. A couple of years ago when I did ** a lot, I could just make up a name to send it to. Things are tougher now. I hope the next time I do it somewhere else, the receiver doesn't get hit by a car, OD, struck by lighting, get shot by Nicaraguan FARC guerrillas , or whatever.

The transfer speedbumps will continue for a lot of books but couldn't that sick person just pick it up the next morning?

I'm more concerned with their lack of a night staff and agree they need to keep things flowing around the clock. A credit guy doesn't NEED his wagers graded immediately but that's big for a deposit player.

Again, this is a high volume bookmaker with good long-standing financial backing that says it will compete with other books whose strengths are customer service. They have some changes to make in this area.

they give different ** names to different customers everytime they call in. if you think that they have a whole room full of people waiting to pick up money, you're nuts. they use a processor to do the leg work.

my guess is that the name was "reg flagged" and they were unable to pick up the transfer.

                    "sick" is an excuse.

I understand MoneyGram works a little different than ** where books use the ** offices from different locations. But, very well could be a third party pick-up.

with ** possibly....it's a lot less volume. i remember a while ago i sent $ to the same person within a few week period, which would never happen with **.

it also took a long time to get picked up.

the whole western union transfer to deposit truly baffles me, although i know what is going on, i cant believe its gone on for so long...amazing.
