    NETELLER: Now WTF?????
just tried to log in to my NT account (as i have nearly everyday for 2 years). Today, instead of seeing the balance immediately after logging in, i get an error message informing me that my account has been closed. They list a phone # for NT Security, which was busy for 20 min. and then answered by a machine that told me they couldn't take my call. anybody else? I'm one of those lucky US citizens with a fair balance, and was actually starting to think there was light at the end of the tunnel.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. They close accounts for all kinds of reasons, and no doubt the auto-close function has had a lot to trigger it in all the chaos.

To save yourself the aggravation give them a couple of days to deal with the surge of calls, and then call and be as matter of fact and calm as you can manage and let them sort things out with you.

Remember it's not the CS people's fault things got all mucked up. Keep the peace, and let us know what happens.

I wouldn't be too concerned, Hugo. As has been said, maybe wait until the volume of calls has reduced so you can get through or try at a less busy time.

you are going to have to get thru via phone and prove that you're in another country

most likely go thru a security check with such items as last 3 addresses and then have a local number where neteller can call you such as a hotel.

its a pain in the ass i know. i usually try to make arrangements before i leave but thats a pain also.

                  good luck

bballfan they IP proof you, they specifically addressed this...

Can US members log in from a country other than the United States to initiate a withdrawal?
No. This will result in the account being closed. Closed accounts can only be reopened by NETELLER Fraud and Security.

Can members request cheques be mailed to a country other than the US?
                    No.
with how sensitive things are I would wait till I was in the US to reopen the account and request withdrawal. I simply don't think they will serve you outside the States.

thanks guy. i now feel alot better knowing what's wrong. i did not know their policy regarding logins from outside US. i will be back in the states in 2 weeks and will initiate contact with neteller then.

looks like this one has already been addressed, bball; i also was traveling and attempted to log in from an IP address outside the U.S., hence the security issue and the suspension of my account. don't bother trying to call the 1-888-258-5859 number as you'll just get pissed off. i connected on the +1.403.233.9466 number and worked it out. went thru the verification dance, including a call back from NT to my U.S. phone number. was then able to get my account un-suspended and able to log in from a US IP address. the bank account I had on file is long gone so I had to request a check to the address on file. maybe not a large sum for some of you real players, but it was my recreational football fund so am hoping to receive it in time to get down this fall.

Keep us posted Hugo. A lot of folks are eager to hear that the first paper check is in hand. At this pace it won't be long.
