    Bride dumps gambling groom
I guess the guy can look on the bright side of things. At least he wasn't left standing at the alter.

    Bride dumps gambling groom

A GAMBLING addict last night told of his shame after his bride dumped him on honeymoon — for nicking £40,000 from her dad.

Adam Green, 25, also forged pretty Charlotte Walsh’s signature to get £92,500 in home loans.

He blew the lot on a two-year internet gambling habit and they have now had to sell their home.

Last week he narrowly missed going to jail after Charlotte, 23, called in cops.

Adam said last night: “It's all my fault — I have no one else to blame. I feel really ashamed.

“One minute I was enjoying my honeymoon, the next my marriage was over.”

The couple were the picture of happiness at their £15,000 wedding last August.

Brunette Charlotte, of Rawtenstall, Lancs, wore a £2,000 wedding dress and the couple hired a vintage US car to get her to church.

They knocked back champagne at a manor house reception as 180 guests toasted their future.

Then they jetted off for a five-star honeymoon in Cyprus.

But 11 days after the wedding Charlotte’s furious dad Archie, a builder, discovered that Adam had spent £40,000 in cash he was looking after — and called her at the hotel.

Adam said: “When Charlotte found out she burst into tears. Her mum and dad said that if she had anything more to do with me that would be it with them.

“When I came back I didn’t want to leave the house.”

He added: “It’s probably for the best as she’s with someone else now. ”

Former store manager Adam, now back home with his parents in Crawshawbooth, appeared before Burnley Crown Court last week and admitted four charges of theft and obtaining money by deception.

He was ordered to get help for his gambling addiction and was sentenced to a year in jail, suspended for two years.

Judge Beverley Lund said Charlotte “will have to live with the recriminations for many years”.

Last night her mum Jacqueline Walsh said: “She was very upset about what happened. Adam has left her in a lot of debt.”

If you gamble you have no business in a relationship period.

I have a relative that's a degenerate gambler who married a woman in desperation with an out of wedlock kid ''bastard''35 years ago.My relative was also a musician and held a good 40 hour a week job in a factory so he made a nice living. He liked the nice things in life like boats, cycles, campers, nice vacations, home electronics.etc. He gambled so much though that it took his mom to keep filtering large sums of money to keep him afloat. His wife going into the marriage knew all about his vices like staying out long hours after his music gigs were over at bars where other women were his thing and his gambling vice but she thought the guy was her meal ticket.I was with the guy on a Las Vegas vacation with my wife and his wife and I saw the guy blow 5 grand in an hour.He was an absolute schleprock bad beat type guy like Chevy Chase was in the movie Las Vacation Vacation.

To make a long story short, the guy lost his good paying job after being there almost 30 years when the plant closed and his sugar momma mother died cutting off the pipeline of money to him and his wife left him about a week after her funeral when it turned out his mom was almost broke and there wouldn't be any inheritances for all the kids in the family because he got it all for gambling over the past 35 years.

His wife screwed him in the divorce getting lawyers involved when they shouldn't have been involved because there wasn't much left to fight over so he's now renting a room and working crap jobs at 60 that kids getting out of high school aren't happy with.He doesn't trust himself playing music around bars because of his addictive personality with all of his vices and he gets tons of freebie promotions to get free rooms, free money and free food at local casinos because he's on the big spender list but he won't go to even just mooch the freebies because he knows he would start gambling out of control again.

He was the nicest guy with allot of tallent in many areas but he would turn into a monster when he was gambling on a losing streak or when he would drink after losing or having home life problems.

There are millions of these kinds of people that have had things given to them and had it better than 90% of the people in this country that get by toiling away in life never doing anything wrong and people are supposed to feel sorry for the financial crash they get themselves in.

If he truly loved the woman he married, then this guy is going to feel some serious remorse in a few months time...

I guess she wasn't really paying attention during that "for richer or poorer" part of the ceremony.

JJ, this is why I PHUCKING LOVE YOU! This is a profoundly true statement. If my wife knew HALF of the truth when it comes to my gambling "hobby" (LOL!) she would have dumped my arse years ago.
