I have him 7th. His game is raw still, he will improve. Good defender, not great. Can't shoot still... Teams will start playing off him. Not to mention he benefits from having a great big man combo (west n hibbert).

Different players play different roles and positions. What is the point in comparing Dirk (a center) with Stephen Curry (a PG) or Paul George (a SF). If you want to argue who's the best player at that position then that's a different story, but saying: "Oh this guy's better than that guy, and this guy is better than that guy" is all hypothetical.

Not necessarily, there is still the pure talent, IQ and athleticism factors of individual players, regardless of position.
For example - I don't think anyone would argue that Roy Hibbert (C) is significantly better than Darius Morris (PG), even though it is almost impossible to compare them as players.

He might be top 5 material eventually but he's still only 23. He hasn't cracked the top 10 ws/48 in his first 3 seasons but it's looking good so far this year for him to be in the top 10 (currently ranked 2nd behind Kevin Love). The caveat there is small sample as you have players like Kevin Martin on the list so far this year.
The list will probably end up like this:

4.Love
With 5-10 being debatable until the season ends.

I would normally have D.Rose up there, but this year he has yet to prove that.
Paul George is in the tier just below LeBron and Durant. He is on a team that has the best shot of knocking off the heat, and if he wins that title with him at the forefront, he is probably 3rd or 4th in the same tier as them.

What? PG is shooting .479 and .404 from 3. Not to mention 7.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He's not shooting a ton of free throws yet but when the J is falling from 25 feet out then Indy can live with that.
I can name 10 guys who are better "offensively" than paul george.
george had his best year last season and averaged just 17 points per game.
george is a top 5 defender in NBA...but his offensive game is not even in top 10.
But overall, I rate him top 10 in league...please dont even put him in top 5.
Danny granger will be back this season, and george's numbers will drop to 2011 levels.

George is the star in Indy. Granger will be playing Robin to George's Batman.
Granger can score, a lot. George the more complete player.
If offense was everything, Melo would be right next to Durant and LeBron on every list.

Don't know if you're aware of this but Paul George is 23 & improving every yr & about to reach his prime. Danny Granger is 30 & slipping for 3 yrs now, unable to stay healthy & a far cry from what he once was. There is literally a zero % chance that Danny Granger causes Paul George to go from 24.9/7.8/3.6 to 12.1/5.6/2.4
FWIW, based on stats, George is 2nd only to Durant at this point in the year.
