    Why no replacement for pinnacle?
I wonder why no one has jumped in as a "clone" to pinnacle servicing the US market... Pinnacle's method was clearly profitable (or at least I'm assuming they were) so why hasn't anyone copied and readapted them for US customers? Low juice, high volume with sharp and quick moving lines... how hard can this be?

You telling me no one else can make this model work again? Seems crazy to me that some one (obviously with deep pockets) has not jumped on huge gap left by pinnacle...

Oh JJ, before you shils in on this, we have all heard of matchbook..

There are no new deep-pocket sportsbooks jumping in to feel any of the gaps created by the exiting books because the funds transfer issues make for such a harsh uncertain operating environment.

Pinnacle has a lot of talent and did more than just capture market share with good timing. We are talking about a group that car pools to MIT reunions. Even without them driving the numbers on major US sports, it isn't a given that a high volume reduced juice shop can succeed. A CRIS or a WSEX might be able to pull it off but for them, it's a If it ain't broke...thing.

Matchbook is a fine replacement and everyone very happy with them, actually they are more financially stable than Pinnacle.

Matchbook is fine for what it is, and any serious US player should use it of course, but it is not even close to being a "fine replacement" for Pinnacle. No parlays, no 5-inning baseball lines, no buying or selling runs for totals, no alternate run lines, no overnight lines, etc etc. Those are all crucial aspects of baseball wagering. Sure, if you're just betting standard sides, totals, or runline bets, on the day of the game, and you aren't looking to bet more than 4 figures total, sure you are approximately getting what you would get with Pinnacle, maybe even a tick better, so no harm no foul. But if you're looking to do anything else, Matchbook is a zero replacement for Pinnacle.

And as to why there hasn't been a replacement, I don't think it has much to do with the fact that no other gang of MIT grads has decided to give it a go. I think it more has to do with, who in their right mind would try to clone a business in the US that was just completely blasted out of the US market a few months ago? Why weren't there any new high-end brands of whiskey launched in the months after prohibition? It wasn't because there weren't any other Irishmen in the US, I'm sure.

Hell, me and Boss Ganch could have tried it. I mean, he could have gone to MIT if he had wanted to, and I myself probably could've gotten into the Florida Institute of Technology, and certainly the Fashion Institute of Technology here in NYC, if I had wanted to. But unless you have an in somewhere at the DOJ and know that you won't be messed with, it would be suicidal to try.

I agree with this except for the part that I put in red above.

I keep saying this over and over here. You could get at least 50K on every MLB game out there at BETTER prices than pinnacle. It is NOT 4 figures and lower.

I routinely get 20K matched at 3-4 cents better than pinny without even much of an effort.

Right, yes I stand corrected, I meant to say at one time, although even that isn't true, there are often 15, 20K offers on there, I agree. Although, it is a bit of a hassle to get it all down. A lot of times you put in your match, it waits a second or two, and you only get some of it, someone else took part or all of it. And yes if you want a large amount matched of course you should put up the offer yourself.

So yes I stand mostly corrected, Matchbook of course is good for those kinds of bets, and the liquidity at peak times is good enough for most people.

But for the other stuff, it's an empty void of important betting options.
