Lets see if I'm right.

A bold prediction. Very brave of you to create this thread and take a shot at Ponder while nobody in the sports media or anywhere else is doing so.
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

Well for starters, he has been cleared to play this week and Cassel is still starting. Judging by how Cassel managed the offense in London, Pavy may be right.

I'll be the contrarian and suggest that Ponder can take the Alex Smith path and re-emerge from this mess.

True but the prediction is whether he would start for the Vikings again.

Meh I think Cassel is actually closer to Smith in terms of being a better game manager than a pure quarterback. Ponder has more athletic ability than both but has shit for brains.

Other way around, he's actually a smart guy. He's going to make a good NFL backup. He's going to know the playbook so coaches won't have to simplify the gameplan and he'll give a team a chance to win if their starter goes down. He just doesn't have the arm to make the throws. The Vikings offensive coordinator also sucks. The Falcons ran him off because they felt he was hindering Ryan's growth. Ponder may not have been starter material either way, but Musgrave doesn't do Ponder any favors.
Pavy's right though, unless there's a run of injuries, Ponder isn't starting anymore. Freeman has the biggest contract out of the 3 now, and they aren't paying him to sit the bench.

Right. That's why I mention Alex Smith. Like Ponder, Alex Smith was dog shit for his first 3 years and at one point Smith even had to take a pay cut to stay in SF. Ponder likewise won't find a better QB situation than in MIN with AP, a decent o-line and passing targets. MIN is one of the best situations a QB could hope to find, Ponder would be a fool to leave even if he is forced to take a pay cut.

He could go to Arizona or Jacksonville. These two teams are going to need a starting QB next year. Probably Jacksonville since he played for FSU.

hahaha.. looks like you're ONE for ONE this week... Cassell is starting no? Not that he isn't awful.. I actually addressed the situation in this weeks video if you wanna skip to the three minute mark.... but then you'd miss so much other fun stuff... ENJOY and good luck to your Minnesota Peterson's ;-)
