I prefer AIM to MSN. Skype isn't bad either.

            I really like Gmail though...

Think I'll have to give this Google Talk a test drive...

All that matters is what the people you want to talk to use. In my case, both close friends and others I talk to regularly use MSN, so I stick with MSN.

I'm really waiting for a meta-chat client, where one can communicate AIM, MSN, and Skype clients through a single interface.

AIM/MSN/ICQ/IRC Metaclient already exists in Trillian. Skype is more proprietary, would be surprised if that made it into a meta client. I just load Skype up when I want to talk to people.

I didn't know about Trillian but it looks pretty cool.

Apparently the pay version of Trillian (Trillian Pro) does indeed have a plugin for Skype.

                          Thanks.

Pidgin 2.0 is another interface out there you can use.

Ganchrow if you need a keygen for Trillian just LMK

Last I used it the "Offline Messaging" feature of MSN was borked in Trillian, and as I don't use the other services, I just run Windows Live. You might want to be careful if you use the offline messaging.
