What's the best method for depositing at Matchbook?
Would a Walgreens' **** gift card work there?

What you want to do is deposit funds to your matchbook account by Moneygram.
Im not sure how much you want to deposit but their limit is $2500 a day. $9.50 is what it will cost you to send the funds to Matchbook.
ALL US BANKS and WALMART's are able to send the funds for you. go to moneygram.com and put in your zip code to find the nearest moneygram dealer.
The best thing about moneygram to matchbook is that the funds are never leaving the US, which IMO is great!
I believe matchbook charges 3% for the transaction but reimburses you with commison credits. Deposit more then 2000.00 and you play commison free for two weeks. GL

If your playing with a book that is well funded. They do accept B2B transfers which is probably the best way to make a deposit there.

Obviously, like BB said - book 2 book is the easiest. However, if that isn't an option, Moneygram was easy and I had no problems funding my account. Only thing that might be an issue for you is the moneygram provider required that I provide them with a copy of my license and my ss# to make a $2500 deposit. So I guess if you take issue with that, you might wanna consider other options.

I made 8 $2500 deposits from 8 different locations about 8 months ago by moneygram to mathcbook and they never asked me for my ID or even a social security card.
Readers, the above post is very false.

They do not reimburse the 3% charge and the $9.90 Money gram deposit fee. I did this couple weeks ago and argue with them over the phone about reimbursement.
Now I'm waiting for a fedex check I had paid for $28.50 and it's still not here. I asked them for tracking number they wouldn't give it to me. They said the processor does not allow. That's total BS. I don't know what's going on with them. I received a check from them a month ago and the fedex check took only one day. And now it's taking forever, I feel like I'm being dicked over.

That's what happened with me. It's not false. Maybe I just went to the wrong check cashing place... it was the closest provider. I just assumed it was normal protocol. Anyway, when I wrote my post... I said it "might" be an issue, since they did it with me. They did the same thing when I bought and deposited money into one of those ******** all-access **** debit cards too. I guess I need to find another check cashing joint that doesn't ask for personal info. I've always used credit cards in the past and now they don't work.

I just called the moneygram provider I used to deposit into matchbook and I was told the csr asked me for a copy of my id for one of two reasons... either 1) the amount of money I was sending or 2) I looked like a terrorist. Seeing that I look about as vanilla as they come, I'm 99% sure it was the amount... which was over 2k. I asked them what the amount is that triggers the id/ss# request and he wouldn't tell me. This whole post 9/11, post Gaming Act bullsh*t is really pissing me off.

As far as Moneygram is concerned, has anyone tried their eMoneygram feature? It looks like you can send a Moneygram over the Internet. Has anyone tried this and does it work for the books?

Taking down your personal information means nothing. That has been going on before September 2001. They just have to keep a record - it doesn't go anywhere. It's like buying a handgun. The store has to look at your drivers license, but that doesn't stop psychos from getting guns.
I am registered at Westernunion.com, and it says my monthly limit is $2999. I have sent money through their website with no problem.

I don't understand how one would know this. I would want them to leave the US. If they stayed here, they'd be more vulnerable to DOJ or FBI attacks.

I have funded at Bookmaker and Bet Jam this way. The only problem is that they only let you move $500 a day at first which is a total pain in the ass. Still beats the hell out of walking into a Moneygram shop with a couple dimes in cash.

I just went to my bank and did a 3k wire transfer to matchbook. It took 2 minutes and I confirmed with matchbook that they will eat all fees. Very simple.

Utah...Did you talk to them about what method they would have you use should you want to withdraw?

Actually, I plan on arbing it and since matchbook is usually the sharp side I expect to ultimately lose it all (and probably very quickly since it is only 3k). So, I didn't even think of the withdrawal.
