#2I couldn't bet for less than $1,000. If I'm going to even remotely handicap and sweat a game it's got to mean something to me in terms of monetary reward or loss.Comment -

#4Normally 1 unit is $100 for me.
I sure know what you mean though, BB. It sure seems like some of this effort is a waste at $100 per unit. However, I've learned my lesson after many mistakes in the past (even recent past) so I'll stick to my measly $100 to $500 bets. If I like something really well, I'll play $1000 but no more than that anymore.

#5EBone some of the handicappers I respect the very most of all are $100-$500 bettors. Anyone who can stay with a self-established bankroll and exhibit self-control is to be commended in my book...Comment -

#7Does anyone mind sharing how to create a poll? I've seen the checkbox on the bottom when creating a thread, but nothing happens beyond that...Comment -

#8I always just wager a $100 a shot, although I may have several wagers on any given day. This is supposed to be a fun thing, anymore than a $100 a wager, it would start to be a serious thing, and I dont need anymore seriousness in my life.

1) Go to a specific subforum here (ie, Baseball handicapping, Players Talk, etc....)
2) Once at the page where topics are listed for that specific subforum, there is a button above the topics that says something like "New Thread/Topic". Click it.
3) On the page that starts the new topic, scroll down the page and it asks if you want to start a Poll. I believe you can only start a poll when you start a new topic so I think it is only here where you can start a poll.
This isn't the best explanation but I think it can get you close.
