I went to OSGA in Jan. for help but I think that guy was paid off or something by wagerweb. My money was taken from me just for placing bets with the same IP address as a friend. My friend signed up for a 25% cash bonus 10x rollover, and then recieved a payout. I then opened an account for the same bonus without using my friend as a referal. I deposited $5000 and rolled it over 10x and had a $11,793 balance. I requested a fedex payout and waited 10 days for a tracking # and then I was told to talk to Charlie Adkins, the same person who opened my account, and was told that I committed fraud by using the same IP address and all monies were forfeited. There is something wrong with this scenario because Charlie, head of fraud, is the same guy who opened my account. Can you please help me. What is the difference between 2 people using the same phone # vs. the same IP address? My friend never placed a bet on his account after my account was opened. He opened for $2500 and cashed out for $3900.
Wagerweb confiscated $11,793 from me!

#2luke,
We're investigating the facts on a set of related disputes (about 10 players in an alleged conspiracy).
Is this one unrelated to the "5% rebate" dispute with Wagerweb? We'll be happy to help you, but we need a lot more information. Please write us at assistance@sportsbookreview.com.Comment -

#3This has nothing to do with the 5% rebate. They simply stole my money just for using the same IP address as a current account holder which had a zero balance, and there was no referral on either account. We both used the same promotion, and complied but was penalized for using the same IP address. They even forfeited the original $5000 that I sent through moneygram quick payment when I first opened the account. How could they justify doing that? My friend and I even faxed our ID's to him, and he thought we worked for somebody or was part of some syndicate. My friend never even placed a wager while I wagered in my account because he withdrew all his money before I opened my account.Comment -

#5I am new to SBR, and the guy Jim with OSGA handled my complaint, and I did not think he did a good job. I saw the other complaints posted on Wagerweb, and thought that maybe SBR can look into it for me. I have nothing to lose, and want a 2nd opinion. These guys are crooks, and look for reasons not to pay winners.Comment -

This seems very correlated.Comment -

#7That rep needs to be Charlie Adkins because he not only signs up new accounts, but he also takes wagers, and he is head of security of their fraud prevention dept. This guy is the problem!Comment -

#8Probably better for SBR to look at it and report when there is something to report. They have already confirmed that the players are hardly angels and also WagerWeb are at fault due to the time period involved. If the players want to play it through the boards then let them - from what I've seen already it isn't doing them any favours.Originally posted by pags11SBR would never get rid of me...ever...Originally posted by BuddyBearI'd probably most likely chose Pags to jack off too.Originally posted by curioustaco is not a troll, he is a bubonic plague bacteria.Comment -

#10I dont think a $2000 max limit bet would be considered syndicate action. If I was a bonus whore there are plenty other places to deposit and get a lower rollover than 10x. If this book had a problem with me using the same IP address why didnt they tell me about before I requested a payout, debit my account, and tell me to call back in 2 to 3 business days for a tracking #. This book will review accounts only when a payout is requested and no time other!Comment -

#11Can't they look to see if all of the 1st guys bets were made at the same computer/ This guy says his buddy just signed up at his place. Can't they check to see of the bets were made at the place? If so, it seems that his buddy was there often. If not, he has a valid point. These books should know that multiple people may sign up at a pubkic place (library).Comment -

#13My thoughts exactly!
And IMHO it doesnt matter if it took 4 minutes or 4 years for Wagerweb to catch them, they should get nothing
if you rob a bank and they dont catch you for 4 years, but then they do, you still get charged and can potentially do time.
No difference.
It is the shot takers that lower the level of service honest players at all books receive.Comment -

As long as they were all real verifyable people....

#15Exactly.
All too often in “gray area” cases I see posters siding with the book if it can be shown that the player(s) had found a way to play at positive EV or in general was a customer the book would prefer not to have.
I have zero problem with players who—within the rules—find a way to win. Any more than I have a problem with a sportsbook that follows a business model that results in it winning. More power to both of them.
A bonus “whore” who calculates how to use a bonus to his best advantage is no more despicable than a sportsbook that calculates what would be the most profitable bonus for it to offer.
Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty that players do that is crooked, and plenty that sportsbooks do that is crooked. But there seems to be a growing anti-player prejudice in these forums that it’s quite natural and appropriate that books stiff players they discover aren’t the kind of customers they were hoping to attract with their various incentives. (They’re just “bonus whores” and “scalpers” and “syndicates” and such, not the kind of honest, upstanding “recreational” players who politely send in their money, lose it all and keep sending more.)Comment -

#16To answer your question Robmpink, Yes wagers were made from 2 computers with 2 different IP addresses. One was a desktop pc where we work, and one was my personal laptop which has a broadband card. We both made wagers from the same computers. He never made a wager after my account was opened. We both have sent our IDs to Charlie to verify our identity. The rules state one account per household. We do not live together. We live at different addresses but are very good friends.Comment -

#21You deserve to have your money taken. The rules state 1 ip per person for a reason. Your buddy did not keep money in his account because you openned a second account with your buddy but in your name.
Who do you think you are kidding? You took a shot and got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. Bitching on the forums that you got caught stealing won't help you get paid, it will actually hurt your efforts.Comment -

#23I do not know any of the other guys who have filed complaints. My friend and I each opened an account and we used 2 of the same IP addresses to place wagers like I said before. One of the IP addresses belongs to our employer, and the other one belong to my laptop computer where I have a broadband card. We do not live together but we do spend a lot of time together. I am no part of a syndicate. After reading post complaints about Wagerweb, I decided to put forth my situation which I believe was not handled professionally by the OSGA watchdog Jim. I can say that I have already recieved more corresponding emails from Justin in the first 48 hrs. than I did from OSGA in one month.Comment -

evening all,
my first post here. I think that if you read the terms and conditions, nobody wants players operating duplicate accounts. If it looks as though you are one and the same person or colluding with somebody else then you are taking a risk, IMO.
Generally, do all these wagerweb problems stem from bonus issues? If it wasn't for the bonus stuff, are they an ok book to use, payouts prompt etc?
I see they are rated -b which isn't so bad in my book
cheersComment
