    Shaq to Mavs?

I think is a little crazy. I don't think the Heat will dump The Shaq Daddy. I also don't think Dallas is going to give up Devin Harris for him...get real.

this one is a few years late. i honestly prayed that shaq would go to the mavs after the kobe broke the lakers up, but at this point, it's sheer lunacy. maybe that is what's needed though. last two years have been hard to swallow.

I agree with Sungus. I don't think Shaq has much value left in the trading market. He did as recently as two years ago, but he wasn't playing all that well. It was just the perception that he had something left in the tank -- I believe that perception is gone.

I will be surprised if someone trades for him as Miami will expect a lot in return, and I cannot imagine a team that is willing to give any decent player up for him.

I think Shaq could definitely help the Mavs. As long as the big fella doesn't ask for too much money, he could definitely help that team...at least in the playoffs.

This is an absolutely ridiculous statement. Shaq would be an asset to at least 35 percent of the teams in the NBA. He might not be what he used to be, but there are a lot of sorry teams that would benefit from having him...

This actually is a good idea. The mavs could then try and get Brevin Knight from the bobcats, who is a free agent i believe. Both Knight and Shaq are what the mavs really need, tough minded players, inside scoring presence, and pure point guard. It'd also allow JT to move back to his natural 2 position.

This is just sheer speculation. Mavs definitely need to make a move if they want to win a championship let alone get back to the NBA finals.

i dont think the mavs (cuban, avery, etc) are dumb enough to give up devin harris or any other young star. i think shaq could help though. it's funny how people write shaq off because d wade gets hurts. shaq is still very dominant. he could easily bring the mavs to the next level. i also think people are underestimating how good GSW is. that isn't the same team that went 42-40. they didnt have s jack or al har., and b diddy was hurt. if the mavs would have showed up that last week of the season and eliminated GSW from the playoffs, they could have possibly won it all this year.

If Shaq comes into camp slim he could be a force at 40. He seems to plump up as the season progresses.
