The world is praying Spurs and Dallas go down as they do not represent America, ratings also would be crushed.

      Lets go Denver

I agree with GridIron on these dogs. Denver is just starting to gel a little. Take away Carmelo's suspension and put Iverson there for the whole season and they don't come close to playing SA in the first round. I still like Denver at around +280.

I believe the Spurs are through, either this round vs. Denver or the next against Phoenix. The two rings they got in 2003 and 2005 plus numerous playoff runs, has taken its toll on them. Duncan is aging right before our eyes. Camby and Nene looked 10 yrs younger the way they were jumping around.

The situation is more dire and urgent than most people might believe.

            Dallas is done.

I think the Spurs will be done next round when they play Phoenix.

If the Suns avoid a major injury, I believe this is their year. They get home-court vs. San Antone, and Dallas is gone.
The road to the finals has been paved, and their offense will be too much for any defense in the Eastern Conference to handle.

This HAS TO be the year for Steve Nash to finally get his ring...

Loved seeing Dallas go down again, if Dallas did not shoot their load in 1st 15 minutes or so , GS would of won by 20 again.

You could very well be right gridiron.

SA has had the Suns number the last few years. Should be a great series if the Spurs can finish off Den. The suns always choke a little this time of year. Drawing LA in round 1 was a free pass to the 2nd round.

JJ the Mavs really look lost. That happens when you are thinking about the finals instead of your 1st round opponet. If the Mavs dont blowout GS in gm 4, this will go deep.

John, I agree that San Antonio has had Phoenix's number, but sooner or later, the team that was getting the worst of it comes out on top. The natural flow of things in sports.

The difference right now is that this is the best Suns team in recent history, probably since the '93 team that made the Finals and lost to Michael and the Bulls.

Stoudamire had a nice series two years ago vs. the Spurs, but on the offensive end, not defensive. Now they have the team that can offensively overpower the Spurs, and Duncan has slowed down just enough to be bothered by Stoudamire.

Everything is setting up perfectly. Dallas getting ready to go down, and Suns have home-court vs. the Spurs. I see a grueling series there, with the Suns winning in game 7 at home.

After that it's smooth sailing as they match up very well with GS, Houston, or Utah -- whoever makes it.

As a Laker fan I hate to say this, but I really believe this is the year of the Sun. I picked them in my office pool to play the Cavs in the Finals.

I pretty much agree... Stoudamire is an animal when healthy. They have to slip into one of their playoff funks to lose. The test will be when they step up from the Lakers. I truly believe they make any of the top seeds look like world beaters. Phx is sometimes frustrated by defensive teams.... we shall see

You're right John. Defensive-oriented teams bother them. But with the way Barbosa has stepped up his game, he gives the extra scoring option which takes away more double-team potential for defenses.

I really think they'll adjust their pace accordingly when/if they play the Spurs. Speaking of the Spurs, they shot the ball real well from 3-land the other night. They won by 5 pts with all those 3's.

Spurs better be careful tonight in Denver because Nuggets have a sence of urgency and the 3's might not fall up there for the Spurs tonight. A part of me wants to see the Spurs win the series quickly, so it sets up a monster series with the Suns.

Another part of me wants my prediction that GS and Denver would give the Mavs and Spurs hell, prove correct :-)

Utah is the better team. I like them to win this series.

Grid the SA / Den series could get extended to 6 maybe even 7 but no way Den wins the next 3 out of 4. The monster series is on the way. Should be fun. I pull for the suns unless they are playing the spurs...of course

Utah has to prove they can win in Houston.

It is now a best of 3 series, with two of the games in Houston.

                            Advantage: Houston

I agree John. The monster series will be the West Conf Semis between Spurs and Suns. If Dallas goes out vs. GS, let's go ahead and call the Spurs-Suns the West Conf Finals, or better yet, the NBA FINALS!!!

I like your style rooting for the Suns except against the Spurs.

The Suns are obviously crushing my Lakers but I will root for them AFTER they dispose of our Lakers.

Perhaps you're right JJ. It is usually about D in the playoffs. But this Phx team is a different animal -- much stronger than 2005 when the Spurs ravaged them.

I think they play just enough D with Amare, Marion, and Bell. Marion and Bell were 1st team all-defense. Amare knows he must focus on Duncan -- and Duncan is a step slower than he was 2 yrs ago. Amare has gotten the strength back in his knees.

HC advantage, unlike 2 yrs ago between these teams, will mean something now. Getting Game 7 in the desert is huge, imo.

I envision the Suns jumping out 2-0 in this series as playing them at home is so tough on their opponents.
