    Moneybookers for Canadians
Who has used Moneybookers in the past?

I tried to do a bank upload, but they want me to physically go to the bank and ask them to wire the money over.

Went to the bank, and the banker tells me that the information offered by Moneybookers is incomplete (only supplies SWIFT and IBAN codes, but no account numbers).

Went back to the Moneybookers site, realized that they have:
    - no live help
    - no way to email them (except for security concerns)

This seems like crap to me.

I've been a Neteller user before this Canadian fiasco.
What e-wallets do other Canadians use on this board?

    Thanks lots!

They have a messaging centre instead of email, and the UK Bank information certainly includes an account number etc.

Hey Sabe, I recently opened an account with them when i tried to upload via my cc, i followed all insructions.

Saw the exact amount they sent me on my statement 2minutes later, i then verified the amount which was 3.55$ on my statement, then the ver came back incorrect.

I had made a mistake, i was suppose to put it in EURO'S i had done it in CAD'S, I saw the mistake then called the issuing bank and asked them to give me the amount in euro's they said they couldnt, so i then went to an online exchane got the rate put it in the verify box, following message came up.

I couldnt not try again for 24 hours(fair enough for security i understand)and that i should not be guessing the amount.(lol)

I then tried to contact them and realized the only way was via there security e-mail , sent them one wondering how to turn it from cad's to euro's if my issuer wont tell me and online exchange numbers are not exactly the same as theres.

      I asked for there suggestions,

      never got a reply back,

so i figured since i couldnt e-mail them or phone them, it isnt worth it for me.until the next Neteller comes along(maybe ******* hoping), its cheques&FedEx, Western Union, money gram, and the occasional wire(rarely).

Al: They do the verification in your own currency if you set up the account correctly. All my verifications were in GBP.

Moneybookers is definitely geared towards the Euros and not Canadians. The only number they have is in Britain. They have no live chat. No e-mail address at all. You have to use their messaging centre. Messaging centre response time is consistently slow. Low 90 day transaction limits, so no high rollers.

No Canadian would use Moneybookers if Neteller was still available, but Neteller isn't. Seems like we have to settle for inferior service because we have less options than before. Neteller has way higher limits so probably the Euro high rollers still use them.

Really? The highest limit I've heard someone having is 42K Euro per 90 days after requesting for gambler's account and extra verifications steps. The average appears to be 18K Euro per 90 days after normal verification steps. Could you share some info on getting the no-limit MB account?
