How come these guys are all over people when something related to race comes into play like it did in the Duke Lax and now they are not showing any accountability or apologizing to ALL those guys who were exonerated of ALL charges. These 2 guys played a large role in the DA charging the players and now even though they are innocent, this is something that will affect and/or hurt them in their young lives whether it be courting a young woman or applying for a job.

On a side note, shame on CBS for waiting this long to fire Imus. I guess when your bank account starts shrinking, the light bulb in your head goes off. Its a guarantee that they fired him not because they FINALLY felt what he said was unethical but more with the fact that they would lose millions in ad money.

I have to agree with you about the first part of the post. You never see Sharpton or Jackson apologize when they are wrong about something. It really frustrates me that they can just do whatever they want, and they are not accountable for their actions. The second half of your post is very wrong in my opinion. I'm guessing like most of America who has a negative view toward the situation, you did not listen to Don Imus' daily morning show, and probably did not even hear his comments that day. I am not saying that Imus was right in what he said about the Rutgers Basketball team, but the media took it way out of context, and it created a domino effect. If people didnt make such a big deal about it, CBS would not have fired him. He says stupid things all the time when he tries to be funny. Thats what he does, and thats what makes him such a good talk show host. I am also gong to assume that you don't listen to rap music, and hear the lyrics that these people "sing." They are 10 times more degrading that anything that anyone has ever said over the airwaves, and nobody is going after these people to have them fired. Howard Stern was on free radio for years and years and degraded many, many people, yet CBS did not fire him. A couple weeks ago, another CBS employee, Billy Packer, said a homophobic term (fag) on national TV. CBS did not fire him either. So why did they fire IMUS? Because they saw this as a way to make people think that CBS is a high quality company who won't exploit people to make money. I find this funny, because they tried everything in their power to keep Howard Stern from moving to Sirius. Last time I checked, Howard Stern does exactly what CBS says that they don't want. All they care about is money. Once the public started protesting, for no apparant reason, sponsers felt pressue to back out, then MSNBC said that they wouldn't air his show, but CBS only suspended him. The next day, the pressure from incompetant people, such as Al Sharpton, got too much for the network to handle and they did what they thought was the decision that had to be made.

Sharpton & Jackson have their own agendas, and you can be sure that apologizing to the Duke players is not on that list. They are hippocrates, and not worth the time to listen to. Supposedly they are for the advancement of colored people, but I think they done more bad than good with this plight.
