This might be old news, but I hadn't seen it yet.

    Satellite deal ruining baseball:

Major League Baseball season starts Sunday, which is a great thing. But for fans of teams from far off places this season will be tougher than in the past

Thanks to Bud Selig's deal with DirecTV to give the satellite company exclusive rights to MLB Extra Innings, cable subscribers will only be able see games in their market. Sure, you could download MLB.TV to watch games on your computer, but who wants to watch a game on a tiny screen that freezes up every now and then.

Selig has done some things right during his tenure as MLB Commissioner - the wild card, interleague play and an All-Star game that has meaning - but shutting out the majority of his fan base undoes all of that.

Between this and the ongoing steroids fiasco Selig is ruining Major League Baseball for the fans.

NFL ticket is DTV only and that hasn't hurt football... Baseball is like having another reason to eat a hot dog or drink a beer...and of course to bet on..

            No Austin I don't.

I know Bell does offer the NFL Sunday Ticket up there, and was curious if they will be carrying the MLB extra innings as well or not.

I watched many games last year on MLB.TV and thought it was great. You can make the picture full screen and I had no problems with the screen freezing up.

Two years ago was a different story but they got the kinks out last year.

Not sure about Bell BBD but my cable company does offer it but only as part of a sports package, not on its own. I would have a hacked bell dish but my condo faces the wrong direction so I'm stuck paying for cable.
