    It's a hobby.

    I really wouldn't consider the outcome of a sporting event that I have no control over a reliable source of income.
    I enjoy my job, I guess I am lucky, it's a union job, with union benefits, and a union pension, now that's reliable.
    Betting football should be viewed the same way as going out to the movies.
    Entertainment. Watch a game with 100 bucks on it, should be viewed the same way as going out to dinner and a movie with the wife.
    100 dollars worth of entertainment.

    Part time job that sometimes pays me about $1,000 and hour and sometimes charges me the same. The good thing is that it pays more often than it charges.
