JJ you spend $100 or more every month on iphone. You can buy a netbook for $250 and get free internet from pretty much everywhere. Imagine the money you can save for gambling.

paver, i am really honestly happy you brought this up.. i want to know too if there are any experts that can tell me.. i have wireless at home with rauter. i can use anywhere within 200 feet from me. i have 3 home pcs.. i went to check for a laptop cause it's way more better to jsut have 1 home pc and a laptop wherever i want to post in house.

i went to best buy and told them i want a laptop for when i go out and i want to work in car, post in car, post while at mcd's having cofee, put in my bets there too.. and the guy told me it's impossible.. he said the most i can have is 500 megs per month and unlimited does NOT exist, and the place also must have some sort of satellite.

does anyone know a way (even if illegally) that i can have a laptop and use it unlimitedly anywhere i want? or does this not exist..

he said i can do it, but it will cost me over 1,000$ a month.. i even want to go on vacation with it and so on..

          thanks..

This is not bad but you have to buy a Cadillac. A high roller like you needs to cruise on a Caddy.

Nicky, I use a site called Boingo for wireless outside the house. You can get online with them at McD's, Starbucks, most airports, some hotels.... a lot of places. It's like $10 a month for the service.

Also, if you have FIOS, they let you hook up to the internet at selected WIFI spots for free.

See what ATT, T-mobile, etc is offering in ways of a data card. There's a company called Cricket that gives unlimited for $40 a month. http://www.reuters.com/article/press...009+BW20090917

Just remember you can hook in to most any hotel through their wifi.

thanks jello, but the site dont work, and even if it did, i am in Canada, so it probably won't work.

man,i really thought i can use a laptop anywhere, i had no idea it was limited to maybe mcd's and some hotels. it's too bad.. i was always dreaming of taking my laptop on a weekend vacation, and sit in my car anywhere in the boonies, park the car and put in my bets..

i thought with today's technology that it was possible.. i guess not..

i even thought that if i had it illegally,it would work.. i guess not.

Who wants to carry around a netbook everywhere?

It's like an albatross compared to an iPhone.

No you cannot, the ones that allow it like airports, public places, ect usually have lots of firewalls blocking sites, secondly more and more people use encryption so not as easy as it looks to get free wireless.

Verizon sells a wireless internet card and usually is free when you sign up for 2 years of service.
